Part of the premise was “make the impossible happen” and “keep your stars happy by telling them what they want to hear”.

But let’s be realistic. Did Joe honestly think he would be able to trade 3 or 7 straight up for a star? That’s completely ridiculous on a number of levels
Did Dame honestly think that? Or maybe did he play along nice with that extreme long shot possibility to first secure the biggest bag possible planning all along to later force his way out to greener pastures alla James Harden or Kyrie?

People & organizations tend to look out for their own best interests and it sure seems thats what all have done. Again, I don't think Joe survives if he preemptively trades Dame. Dame likely gets significantly less $$$ if he doesn't tell the organization what they want to hear too. The organization loses it box office draw (major $$$) if it moves Dame preemptively and alienates many more in the fanbase then letting Dame make the request. The way things have transpired, Portland has likely already added a couple big pieces for their rebuild and next will get to add to that with the expected return from Dame. Things have actually broken well for them.

I don't believe you are being realistic. This seems straight forward and many here have grasped the dynamics in play.

Marang said that the word around Vegas was that Jarrett Allen is gettable. He thinks that Allen would be intriguing if the Cavs could be worked into the deal.

Wait until December 15.
They are looking for a wing.... Jerami Grant fits perfectly.

That's where Keldon Johnson would come in.

Of course, this is all based on what Danny mother fucking Marang is saying so take it with a grain of salt

Best response ever.

Can you see my post?
Nope. :)

In all seriousness, I only have a couple of people on ignore. I enjoy reading almost all posts. Especially the ones that have terrible takes. It's a good way for me to get smiles out of the day. There were just a few posters on here that tended to focus mostly on personal attacks that I got tired of scrolling past.

Overall, this forum is loaded with some passionate fans that I really enjoy reading, even if I don't always agree with their perspective. Not everyone can be right like me all of the time.

Also the idea that Woj is carrying Cronins water is hilarious when Cronin himself said this could take months.

And when does someone call out Haynes/Shams for all the shit they pulled to paint the team in a bad light?

Everything out of Miami right now, either from their fans or their media, is just absolute salt.

They know the bind they're in. They can't admit it, but they realize how everything hinges on them getting Dame and getting Dame quickly. They also don't have the resources to get it done, so the whole thing is a pretty weak attempt at subterfuge.

Once people started to realize that and that the only way Riley and his stooges could speed the process was if the Blazers got scared and let them, they got all pouty about it.

That's an impressive bunch of moves. Not sure who could say no.

Yeah. The biggest question is whether Keldon Johnson is actually available and what his value is. We have already heard rumors about Allen being available from Cleveland.

Greedy me would love to get Allen AND Johnson, but I'm not really sur what Allen's value is, and what Johnson's value is.

Herro is whatever, we just have 3 people that are as good or have the potential to be better.

I don't know how Le batard can say Herro is better than Maxey like its a foregone conclusion.

Having dame sit his ass down on the bench is better than just taking Herro to help them out even though we have zero need for him.

What I like about this video is that he's bitching about Woj while SIMULTANEOUSLY shilling for the Heat.

Exactly. Every day that goes by there are fewer free agents around for Riley to pick up to fill out his roster. This matters zilch to the rebuilding Blazers. There may not be any better offers for Dame right now because of his agent’s tampering, but there likely will be by the deadline. Joe has no incentive to take the Heat’s current offer.
