Broussard bringing truth bombs
Dear God the Heat fans in the comments are so atrocious. They will kick him to the curb in two years.

Totally understandable position. For me, once Dame made it a business decision, the Blazers should also make it a business decision. Eye for an eye. I appreciate your take though. We are all different.Actors, athletes, and musicians...I just want to be entertained and love the visual representation of the pursuit of excellence and creativity. May sound hokie. I just don't give a shit about the drama and behind-the-scenes (except for things like rape and other acts of violence). Tom Cruise, may be bat-shit crazy, but I'll still appreciate his work if it's a movie I enjoy. Just a random example.
Dame seems to be going through some shit, and that's for him to deal with, and I hope he finds what he's looking for.

I honestly got into Blazers basketball during the Sheed era. Ask an old-head. Or at least an older one, cause I am not exactly a spring chicken anymore.I wasn't paying close attention to the NBA in the early/mid 90s. What was the general concensus when Clyde won the chip. Were Blazer fans euphoric?

Any spite is inferred by fans, or implied by media rabble-rousersHope they lose in the first round. I treat spite with spite.
He is needed to make the money work. They are not putting in Zion or Bi.Take out CJ and put literally anyone else and I'm okay with it.
any NO deal for Dame without Murphy and/or Jones is a nonstarter for me.Take out CJ and put literally anyone else and I'm okay with it.
Dyson, 4 picks and 3 swaps is WAY better than anything Miami can offer. Dyson can play point forward.any NO deal for Dame without Murphy and/or Jones is a nonstarter for me.
i didn't say a single thing about Miami.Dyson, 4 picks and 3 swaps is WAY better than anything Miami can offer. Dyson can play point forward.
In addition to this: (from the guy breaking a lot of NBA news)I honestly feel that there is a reason Dame specified Miami, and I think the rest of the league sees it as well. They have the defense to cover for him. They have Jimmy Butler who runs the team. They simply need a guy who can get a big bucket when the pressure is on. That is what Dame does, and does it very well.
Fuck it i'd even do that with CJTake out CJ and put literally anyone else and I'm okay with it.

From my piss-poor memory, Drexler became pretty nasty...Just erased his time with the Blazers when he left. People wrote him off.

Return of a classic:
It doesn't matter what the Heat can offer. It matters what Cronin wants. Not talking CJ back. They need to find some other team for him
I'd much rather take the risk with Zion than settle for some trade that we already know is lousy.THAT would be a fascinating trade. It could result in us basically giving Dame away (while paying a massive salary for a dude who can't get on the floor) or result in the Blazers adding a future hall of famer.
Gee, that would be a pity.Sounds like the Heat, by trying to get Dame without giving up anything of value, have kind of painted themselves into a corner. They've lost Strus and Vincent and don't really want Herro, but they can't do anything to fill out their roster until the Lillard trade is done.
It'd be such a shame if the free agent market completely played out and no Dame trade was finalized. It'd be an even bigger shame if after all that happened the Blazers traded Dame somewhere else.
