DAME COMING HOME?

Will he be able to play at all this year?

Sometime during the March Madness, towards the end of the regular season,

If we are not even in the playin, no reason for Dame to play even if healthy, just continue to rehab

If we are surprisingly in playoff contention, no reason for Dame to play even if healthy, because why rock the boat at that point

So yeah, he will likely not play in 25-26, He will be available to play in 26-27, and he can pick to stay here or go elsewhere in 27-28 due to player option

We really only get him for one year guaranteed (26-27) By then who knows if we're the Seattle Superblazers or Trailsonics or Las Vegas Trailblazers

Las Vegas Kings is my guess.

I remember Joe once said something along the lines of you gotta take a step back in order to take a few steps forward. He pretty much kept and/or acquired all the best assets/pieces from the Dame trade and gets Dame back after 2 seasons. I love Dame. I’m fuckin pumped!!!

So the hope is Scoot makes the jump this season and we trade Jrue in the offseason?

Or we trade Scoot. I don't think Scoot has shown nearly enough to be made a core piece moving forward. This will be a big year for him.

I mean, not sure how anyone can dislike this move. Who cares if he is hurt most the year. He loves us and we love him. Obviously he regrets leaving and realized the grass isn't always greener.

We have one of the best offensive and defensive guards in the league to mentor scoot.

Not thrilled with the price. He is getting his full max deal from the Bucks and could have signed with the Blazers for the minimum and would still be getting all his money. Portland is reportedly already hard-capped. This is probably for the MLE and puts them in a worse cap space.

I also don't like the no-trade clause. That will hamstring Portland down the road.

Nice to have him back, but not in this way.
I generally agree, but would go even further... I personally don't like this move.

The franchise had turned the page and was looking to the future. Unfortunately we just obstructed Scoot's path forward.
I would have been okay with Dame returning on a minimum contract (with absolutely no expectations)... but this doesn't feel like that. Although I guess it really will not have any material impact on next year's season.

Sink or swim

Signed in to say "fuck yeah, y'all!!!"

Surprised, not surprised by all the negative nancies up in this joint.

Be happy! We ended up with ALL the loot!

Biggest fleece in NBA history

Some of you are looking for problems where at this point there are none -- maybe in the future this might be an issue but for now just be happy.

If you cannot be happy that the team is bringing back the face of this franchise then as far as I am concerned .. fine -- I think your wrong but that is your opinion -- cool

I do want to say I am sorry for being so combative when I disagree also I am cool with everyone from this point and I am clearing the slate and hope some can try and do the same with me.

I am going to stay away a little longer unless there is news cause I need a break and let the air clear with all and I do mean everyone but wish you all the best.

Thx for your time and Go Blazers and Welcome home Dame !!!
