It feels like there's a lot of posturing going on between Neil and Morey.
 
The worst thing for Portland fans is if Dame is traded right now. Presumably, they'd be announcing a new youth, reconstruction direction and plead for fan patience. And it would be yet another life preserver for Olshey. If he's bewitched Jody/Kolde this long, they'll easily go along with his new plans centered around his freshly acquired draft capital. Allowing Olshey to lead a rebuild from scratch is the worst possible outcome, and priority one has to be his removal. To wake them up, Olshey has to fail with his latest bill of goods of acquisitions and hires. They need to hear louder and louder fan dissent and they have to take it the rear financially. Dame's discontent and no confidence in the management has to be persistent all year. Basically, need a wave of anti-Olshey momentum so large that it will finally drown him. It will be a sucky season, but I think the sour taste in our mouths will be medicine instead of poison this time.

This is a depressingly plausible point. What we REALLY need is Dame to go to ownership and say "it's Neil or me"...

Oh, wait. They'd choose Neil, wouldn't they? Crap. Okay, FIRST we need some numbers guy to tell them the value of the franchise drops by half if we trade Dame...

Beasley is very interesting as he certainly has talent. Hopefully he's matured while playing in China? I could see Dame & RoCo having a positive effect on him.
This is the era where you do see guys coming in or back later and being productive.

Beasly is just this year's Melo - a super talented scorer reclamation project. I would not expect much from him, honestly.

I get it for sure....the thing that I dont understand though is how could and NBA owner and Executive Board allow him to continue if they didn't think he was giving them a return? thats the real world and its in their lap.
There have been franchises in all sports that have shitty ownership and simply dont care about what forum fan's and others think but only bottom line. Those franchises get a bad rep's right away and it does have an impact.
If they go into the tax and get the guy Dame is looking for and do nothing else, and things look more positive from that standpoint, but same owner and president how should we as fans feel?

I give him credit for working back into a shot at a roster...he's very talented..his problems were not basketball related when he was younger....we need a bench PF and this is not Melo joining a summer league squad to get a job.....Melo gave us 16 pts off the bench..he helped us win some games...if Beasley did that he'd be worth a bench role in my view...as I said...I'm interested to see how he looks in summer league...I wanted him here a long time ago when he was a rookie and now he might get a spot..put him next to Zeller off the bench and it might be a good pairing

You would hate what I think about this team if it stay as is so I will give olshey the remainder of the off season to see how he going to shape the roster.
