I don't want him to try to come back too soon and reactivate it. His hot streak seems to have run it's course anyway, and we are not making the playoffs

It’s not hate... it’s that when you get paid big money like CJ is then you are expected to live up to the contract or else the team has no chance. The most frustrating part as a fan is we have seen CJ’s limitations and lack of growth and Neil doubles down with an extension a year before he had to. Now we are stuck with no flexibility again in Dames last 4 good years... it’s like the 2016 summer all over again.
 
I will let Dame and the medical staff decide, not S2.

At least I don't have to be upset about having theater tickets Sunday afternoon.

I have no problem with Dame suggesting that Booker replace him.

Apparently he didn't even consider the *thought* of mentioning CJ as a potential all-star replacement.

The major difference I see offensively is that Booker is MUCH better at getting to the line, so his scoring averages are higher.

I have to wonder what talent level Dame views CJ as being. I'm also wondering if Dame is starting to get frustrated with the lack of help....

With Steph and Klay out, CJ had a huuuuge opportunity to make it to the All Star game, but he got his money and that's all he cares. If you follow him on Instagram and Twitter, you get a clue of what his goals are and how his character is. He allways seemed like a big ego to me. He will never make it to an All Star game

Wow? Where do you get that? Literally one of the nicest guys you will ever meet. Pretty much every tweet is praising someone else or supporting a cause. That and some funny stuff that is obviously joking with friends. It's just weird? Some of this hate is just crazy. CJ gives more tickets away to people on Twitter that would never get a chance to see a game than anyone i can think of? Saying he is all Ego and bashing his goals? Where does this even come from?

I think a lot of the perception comes from the fact CJ isn't shy about putting himself out there. CJ's earned his swagger and clearly has the communications background that he's just more effective at it than most (also that he is more persistent). I'm afraid he'll never be able to live up to the monster of a contract he got, but he was also pretty early in his draft class to get an extension so there isn't a lot of comps out there.
 
CJ is a great player. I just don't get the hate for him on here. People say he doesn't pass but he had 10 assists last night for crying out loud.

Oh please. He is a good player, but not even close to great. If this is your idea of a player beinging hated on, you have no sense of team history!

Why? Booker was listed at 8th in votes for guards in the west where as McCollum wasn't. You guys crack me up how you try and always find some sort of weird conspiracy when logic is staring you in the face. The only player not on the all star team with more votes was Alex Caruso which is a joke.

If he's so great why didn't his own teammate and best friend recommend he take his place in the All-Star game?
