I'd venture to say read through it. It's been pretty well received for things you mentioned and also for those tasty picks at the end of the dame giannis window.

The first 2 pages were pretty heavily slanted toward the negative.

Draft stuff will could be huge if the Bucks suck in 6 years, which doesn't seem to unlikely given their current trajectory.

I like that we got out of Nurk and Little's contracts.

I'm happy to have Ayton, he fits with the young core, he's under contract for a few years, and could have a resurgence not being under the shadow of bigger stars in Phoenix.

The moment that fans in Boston, Miami and Toronto saw their 2023-24 championship dreams go up in flames.

It's odd that they didn't route Holiday somewhere else with this deal. Is it possible they plan to keep him and trade Simons?

Man i'm gonna miss Dame, but also soo relieved that this saga is finally over. I think the trade is good, now let's see what we can get for Jrue. Fuck Miami

1) If you are overcome with emotion, take a second before spewing your anger
2) Ayton for Nurk (I play hard when I feel like it) has me dancing like a kid
3) I respect Giannis as a man and as an NBA player. I do not respect any Heat player. Glad that is where my all time fave Blazer went.
4) Loooooooooove the future picks. Forking LOVE them.
5) Blazers getting tougher defensively...nuff said.
6) Dame trade threads are over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Will they look to move Grant now? I haven't really understood why there hasn't been more people calling for Grant to be traded. Dame is gone, he may be the 4th option on offense, they are gonna lose more than they win for a couple years and he's shown in the past that in this type of situation he won't be satisfied and will want to be traded, again.
I'd say moving him now would be better than waiting until the deadline and he's already thrown in the towel. He has to have some value for what his strengths are.
With Ayton and Scoot and Sharpe on the roster, why would the Blazers be trying to lose more than win?

I think they probably just wanted to get it done before giving Miami a chance to change Dame's mind about agreeing to it.

One thing I’ve been missing while Dames been around are lob passes. I’m pretty sure we are going to see more lob passes this year than the last few seasons combined.
Scoot for whatever reason hasn't been a lob passer, but with Sharpe and Ayton, who can catch and convert if you just give it a good try, I think Scoot will make progress in that area.

Why? Did you get a job with the Bucks? They have to be the favorites to win a title now. They gave up NOTHING and got Lillard.
Dame was gone. Not returning. Miami is offering shit players that don’t fit our needs. We got a quality big, dumped an UNquality big and 2 players that never came close to making an impact. Rip that bandaid off and move forward. Love Dame on and off the floor, but we just weren’t going to get the hail most on here expected. Compare this to what we got for a prime LaMarcus.
I’m good with this. Done before camp, @THE HCP is content FAMS.

And yes, I am part of the future considerations heading to Milwaukee to join Patty, Terry and Dame.

From what I can tell;

Blazers saved 1.1 million (sent out 71.5M received 70.4M)
Blazers opened one roster spot (sent out 4 players received 3)

Not sure on trade exceptions, maybe the Blazers can get one for Nurks salary? Probably ultimately doesn't matter as I doubt Blazers will pay tax this year or next.

So I think we now have 2 roster spots we must fill? Although perhaps one or both get used in Jrue trade.

I have thought about picking CJ over Giannis often. Damn, it still hurts.
It wasn't like Olshey can be criticized for it when Giannis lasted until the 15th pick.

But Olshey certainly should have / could have picked Steven Adams, who went 2 picks later. I really wanted Adams. Lopez was the weak link of that roster.

is that the "and a 3 dollar bill to be named later" part?

Positive first impression. Biggest thing is I like betting against Milwaukee's future vs Miami's.

We'll see what happens to Jrue. I like his fit honestly and argue a better mentor for Scoot than Dame. Likely flipped though. Hard to grade trade until this shakes out.

Not an Ayton fan but he's a slight upgrade on current Nurkic imo and obv the timeline fit and room to improve is a plus. Playoffs in 21' and 22' as 22-23 year old were impressive.

Camara looked intriguing in SL and Suns fans were excited about him. Interesting statistical profile in college with nice forward size.

Overall I'd give it a B with upside depending on Jrue situation.

Camara looks as if he can do a lot of different things on offense.

Overall really like this deal. Probably have to grade it a B as it not the massive haul many of us hoped might come if Lillard was dealt. But the Blazers just wanted to move on to the new era and this allows it before camp. Still have a very nice asset in Jrue to flip for something else which should bring much more than Herro/LaVine/etc.

For the situation Cronin was in, pressure from the best Blazer ever demanding 1 team, Riley playing hardball with most national media supporting him, I might consider giving an A.

I REALLY like owning 3 years of unprotected Bucks picks. Hopefully they have a ton of pressure to win the next 4 years and mortgage all the rest of their future. We could be talking about the Blazers getting 3 straight top5 picks from Milwaukee, similar to how the Celtics got Tatum and Brown.

I LOVE how this screws Miami. Is there any way Cronin/Jody were so pissed at the Heat they said "What team can we send Dame to that most FUCKS the HEAT?" I can't see anything hurting them more than this.
