Trade Dame to Milwaukee

Would be a rookie move by Pat to elimate a team from possibly helping them get a nice PG.

If I were a GM, there is nothing another GM could do or say that would allow me to turn down a future good deal with them.
Yep. Riley is too old and savvy to get so butthurt that he wouldn't want Jrue for the right price. He's the perfect fit in Miami because of his defense, his finals experience and his unselfishness. The guy can play and doesn't look like his is a factor yet. I could see him having a few good years left since his strengths aren't reliant on athleticism. He's extremely smart and crafty.

Well I was thinking as typing. Sounds like they might still move him? I guess that works well also.
I'm good with this trade. Hope they can continue to build a good team.
Go Blazers!

Yeah, they are looking to move Jrue. Going full young....and Jerami.

Still, not sure how much faith I have in Billups to develop this team. But, we have a hell of a good young core.

Unprotected as well.

Honestly, this is the year we need to see the growth. Latest is the trade deadline of next year, and then it's either Billups has shown enough or we fire him. But year and a half max.

Yeah, Milwaukee has always been the Portland of the east for me.
The very first NBA basketball I watched as a young child was the Bucks with Oscar Robertson and Lew Alcindor. That was my team. Oscar Robertson was always my favorite player ever growing up. Now they have Dame. So, yeah. GO Bucks!!

Honestly, I think this is the kind of team with which Billups will excel.

He seems to be a mentor at his best when teaching young players. I think in a couple of years the Blazers might have to move on from him to a coach ready to take the team to the championship rung on the ladder, but if I'm looking for a guy who can mold young players, he's probably one of the best guys for that.

lmfaaaaaaaaaaaaaao. Cronin gets a win on this too. Cronin knew he was getting screwed.

Btw, except for the very first few messages, not a lot of cronin bashers are in here. Mainly because they realized it was a good trade and have nothing to complain about.

The Blazers got an all-star, two-way guard back and I noticed NBA guys from a couple of teams like Miami and Philadelphia already expressing their teams would be interested in him. The Heat weren't going to be able to match that return no matter what they did.

Dame won't be happy anywhere but Miami.....he won't show up anywhere else.......he will demand to be traded to Miami wherever he lands. Why bother trading for him?

As I said before, how fucking stupid were the talking heads when they repeated this shit.

Yep, you already got good value for Dame, now you can extract more for a guy who you need to defend against Milwaukee.

I like Chauncey for this kind of roster, too. I'd like him even more if they hired someone with chops as a defensive coach.

Just for clicks and debate.

Jrue is definitely a Riley player. My question is, will Joe freeze Riley out of Jrue trade talks? If Riley wants him, he'd better pony up a good offer.

I'm getting a bit of a kick on social media of fans from a variety of teams saying how the Blazers have no leverage in dealing Holiday. They need to ask the Heat how that worked out.

The Blazers have even more leverage with Holiday. His versatility and contract situation will make him attractive to teams, which presumably will drive up his return a little.

6' 8" (with shoes) , 7-foot wingspan, almost-9-foot standing reach. 23-year-old Toumami Camara. Definitely can use the 10 rebounds and 2 blocks.
He knows how to position himself for the point guard to get him the pass for an easy score.

Exactly. Plus, he's available, but we don't HAVE to trade him. Let the bidding begin.
