Clippers? Lakers?Who needs a pg besides Miami
HOLY SHIT FAMS. Milwaukee is a lock for the East next year. They get Dame and KEEP MIDDLETON? I'm liking what Portland get back. Pieces for now and the future. I'd trade Jrue and get younger real fast. I am damn excited for next year, people. The only thing else I want is Ant traded for another big man or a wing. Scoot/Sharpe backcourt. Grant/Ayton front court. Very excited for the future.
It's not that he's unappreciated, it's that he's 34 years old and we're on the hook for him for $70MM over the next two years. My first thought, too. Holiday is terribly underappreciated. I've always thought he would be the perfect PG for US teams playing internationally. If he was a couple years older I would love to have him coming off the bench and teaching Scoot the ropes, especially on the defensive end. Now, some of those Heat offerings look a little more enticing if it's for Holiday instead of Dame.
somebody start a welcome Ayton thread. Billups HAS to work on this guy and get him going. Physically, he is like "lab-built". Light a fire under him CB!
I kinda love this trade in that Dame gets a ring on a team I can gladly root for, next to one of my other favorite players and Miami is blocked from winning for all of Butler's prime. That last part is truly glorious as is trolling Heat fans today. Hard to put a price on that but I think 3 FRP's is about right.
We can swap our 1st round pick with theirs. Can someone explain to me what unprotected swap rights mean?
Not only that, for a Bucks competitor, he's a Dame stopper from a championship Milwaukee team that you have to play against to get to the Finals. Not assessing this until we find out what they get back for Holiday. That's an all-star two-way guard that definitely would have bring back good value in a trade, more than Tyler Herro.
Can someone explain to me what unprotected swap rights mean?
And Milwaukee is one of the smallest markets.I kinda love this trade in that Dame gets a ring on a team I can gladly root for, next to one of my other favorite players and Miami is blocked from winning for all of Butler's prime. That last part is truly glorious as is trolling Heat fans today. Hard to put a price on that but I think 3 FRP's is about right.
If im reading right, we get the higher of the two picks of that year and they take the lowest.
Anyone feel free to correct me. And these are unprotected.
looks like Cronin cleaned the fridge as well!Damn. I cleaned the refrigerator and when I finished, Dame is traded.
Seeing people calling out other posters who strung this along for the heat. I think a lot of them were over this just like a lot of us were. Therefore some seem to be just glad that it is over with, with some understandable displeasure that they ended up having no involvement whatsoever.I'm trying to as well and nothing will load lol
It's part of being in an open relationship in the poly community. Can someone explain to me what unprotected swap rights mean?
Can someone explain to me what unprotected swap rights mean?
Can someone confirm that the pick and pick swaps are unprotected?
So if they get #1 and we got #30, we can swap and we get #1 and they get #30 instead? That's not so badWe can swap our 1st round pick with theirs.
Same. This is probably the only team that I would have still rooted for Dame on the court. I always wanted Dame and Giannis together on the Blazers. That Bucks team is going to be special.I can genuinely cheer for Dame now.
Is it weird that I dont hate Dame as much now because he's going to Milwaukee instead of Miami? Like Im still annoyed he tried to strongarm us, but im not as annoyed because maybe it didnt work? I dunno, im in my feelings so I'm working through it.
Jrue would be such a great fit for Miami! That’s what I’m thinking too. Maybe Miami. LoL I’m not going to totally judge this trade until we know the full details.
If I have to like one thing about this trade, it's the overwhelming feeling of Schadenfreude when it comes to the M'eat. F*** Pat Riley and their fans.
