This is the equivalent of the deal that we sent to Houston for Pippen.

Philly would give us Simmons, Shake and their #28 pick. That's a 24 year old all nba level player, a 24 year old underrated starter and a first rounder... they might even give us their first rounder next season too. They would make losing Dame less painful but that Lakers offer is laughable and I think Wiseman, Wiggins, 7 and 14 isn't close to as good as what Philly could give us.

Hopefully what Olshey is working on right now is moving CJ in a three way for a legit second option forward to play with Dame.

That looks like some of the garbage Fantasy Football trades some of the dudes in our league offer. They think offering a lot of garbage is fair because you are getting more players. Those dudes are scrubs.

Yeah, I think we could get Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and a future first to pair Dame with Tatum. At that point with all of the defense that those two guys provide, that might be our only move we would make.

CJ, Smart, Brown, RoCo and Nurk starting Ant, Nas, DJJ and a taxpayer MLE big off the bench. The problem is I think we'd just be back in the same position as we are now, making first and second round exits. Just better on D and not as potent on O. That being said there isn't a player on that roster that has the kind of cache Dame does to make demands about making the team a contender. That seems like a really fucking Olshey move that would seriously piss me off.

Edit: Actually maybe Neil makes the Dame to Boston trade and then trades CJ to the Knicks for all of their draft picks this year (19, 21, 31) and then re-signs Norm. I think then we'd have room to use the full MLE which he could use a large portion to sign Nerlens Noel and the rest to sign Kris Dunn. We trade Ant for another first rounder in this draft and only draft defensive minded players. We'd go into the season with our only goal to be the best defensive team in the league. Maybe we'd run a full court press all game every game.

Smart, Norm, Brown, RoCo, Nurk, DJ, Noel, Dunn, Nas, CJE and a bunch of rookie defenders.

I get it, you as a journalist have to write shit. But how can the thought not even occur to you that portand would want AD back? Are you so much of a homer that logic eludes you? So the lakers have cake, get more cake, and get to eat it all if too, and just because you think it sounds like a fun trade. Two words for the author of that piece: fuck off.
 
Simmons, Thybulle, Milton, 1st rounder I probably pull the trigger if Dame is unhappy. All 3 are 24 years old.

CJ/Milton(or Maxey)
Powell/Simons
RoCo/Thybulle
Simmons/Nas
Nurk/?

I’m assuming Ben is the PG in this scenario. Old man would be CJ/RoCo at 30
 
Dame is getting older, if we get a Brown or Simmons+ package we at least have another 6 years to bitch about getting better players around our star.

The Blazers will have no problem refusing the rejects on the Laker roster. Plus Father Time is ticking LOUDDDDDD on LBJ, and the Unidufus is glass. That compensation is pure spoiled mustard yella & purple sludge.
 
We can trade him anywhere, he doesn’t have a no trade clause. I’ll stop watching the NBA if we trade him in conference to the Lakers.

Don't worry, Adam Silver will step in. It's called "The Chris Paul Rule" and Olshey has benefited from it before.
