The word "liberal" itself never meant any of this. It was somehow co-opted and turned into something else entirely.

I probably should have used green font. I posted my "outrage" as a kind of meta joke about outrage culture -- every word is now problematic. Personally I don't think any word should be verboten, because I am a "liberal" in the libertarian classical sense of the word.

No, things won't change until prosecutors change. Most police could change their attitudes, but until right-wing prosecutors (all of them are right-wing) change their attitudes, police will still not be prosecuted.


Police kill 1000 people per year, 3 per day. That doesn't include deaths in jails and prisons. The media reports only a few of them.

No, it's because I choose not to get offended the vast majority of the time I'm here. Frankly, I've absolutely hated your avatar and what it says underneath since I first saw it. I have never and will never complain about it but it tells me everything I need to know about how you actually feel about women. Everything about it tells me what your intent is when you use those terms. SlyPokerDog does an outstanding job of moderating this zoo, stop making it harder on him.
 
Anyone who doesn't think race plays a factor into police shootings are kidding themselves. It's not because cops are racist, it's that society has these negative connotations and schemas with black people. Even a black cop would be prone to shooting a black dude. Everyone has these biases, and when split second decisions are to be made, these are the consequences.

No, it's not just racist common sense instant decisions. The decisions are thought out long in advance.

It's secret anonymous trainers training police to kill before thinking. ("I just did what I was trained to do." Can anyone name the trainers?) It's fascist prosecutors who think of themselves as police in suits. It's the legal system's war on American popular culture. They hate us and want to imprison all freedom-lovers.

It's actually about the reaction to Damian getting heat for comments he made about it on Twitter, that's why it's on the main board. The discussion about the two murders is in the OT section.

However, I didn't intended to co-opt the topic and honestly thought my remark was pretty harmless at the time I posted it. But that is beside the point, it did side track a much more serious subject and I apologize for that jlprk.
 
There is too much apologizing and trying to be nice, and too little anger.
