Dame's night on Twitter

Guys like to think they are tough. They like to say stuff that makes them feel tough. So if someone says something that deeply offends you, ask them to either apologize or prepare to fight.

Most people are not willing to fight to defend their use of a word. So if you are offended by a word, back it up with your fists. This will usually stop them from ever using the word again, in public at least. Easy peasy.
Nobody uses fists anymore, everybody is using guns. We will slowly progress back to the Wild Wild West, and when somebody calls you a butthead you will meet in the town square for a showdown, followed by a hoedown, followed by a showdown for using the word "hoe", followed by another hoedown, at which point nobody will want to fight anymore...for the rest of that day at least.

I'm kinda serious though. If someone uses the word retard or nigger or cunt or faggot, and you have a problem with it, do something about it. Generally the type of guy who uses those types of words regularly isn't going to understand the nuances civilized society.

Fair enough... I challenge The Vagina Demeanors to a duel. Shall we all meet up at Mt. Tabor?
Are you DVISS' wife? (green font) :) that explains EVERYTHING! hehehe

Unless that person actually is a butthead... in that case it would not be offensive and we can just go straight to the food and dancing party named something that's not offensive to hoes or other persons.

It's all good blue. I love men and understand we are very different. I never meant to offend you either.

And, if I was going to be another woman I could do a whole lot worse. Dviss has shared a little about her including her picture. She's a super smart naturopathic doctor (or something like that) and gorgeous. Plus she's blessed to have a partner in her life who really loves and respects her.

I have to add, bringing this full circle, I don't have to worry about my spouse being pulled over and shot, he's white. In that regard, I would hate being her.

From what I'm hearing, the man was a sex offender on probation, and he had a gun. Which means he didn't have it legally.

WHY he was carrying it is irrelevant. He wasn't lawfully allowed to have it.

I'm also hearing that he pointed a gun at someone, which is why the police were called.

Then they show up, issue him orders, he refuses to comply, so they move to the necessary level of force, in this case they deployed a TAZER.

TAZER was ineffective.

So they opted to go hand to hand with him and take him down by physical maneuvering.

He still fights with them, and they end up seeing the gun. They call out "he's got a gun! You reach for that, I swear!" which is a pretty strong indication that they will shoot you if you reach for it.

Now.....the question becomes: DID he reach for it, OR....did the struggling put his hands in such a way that it APPEARED that he was reaching for it?

At that point, I'm afraid it just doesn't matter. Because at that point a struggle is a struggle, and a gun is still a deadly weapon until it is secured and unloaded by the officer. And the person wielding it (and yes, just being on your person constitutes "wielding"; it doesn't have to be in your hand to constitute "wielding") is still a threat to your safety and well-being until they are subdued, placed in cuffs, and searched properly.

If this guy had followed the law and cooperated with the police; if he was genuinely as innocent as the reactionary portion of our society wants to belief he is, then he could have argued his case in court. That is what they are there for. And you can't argue your side and present evidence in your defense if you're dead.

At some point, people are going to have to face up to those facts and accept them. Sometimes, people bring this upon themselves.

Don't believe me?

I knew a guy when I was 21 who shot at 2 teens with a Taurus 9mm at a camp site in 2004. I was there when it happened. Up until that point, he was a polite, law-abiding, God-fearing Republican man. And this was in the sticks of Washington, in deep Republican-controlled territory, where there's a church in the middle of every town. And he was white.

The police showed up and took him at gun-point. He cooperated with their orders, and he was taken into custody. Took a plea deal for 2 counts of Felony Assault and got 10 years with no parole.

My point? He cooperated with police, in an area that many Leftist like to frame as being trigger-happy redneck territory, and he wasn't shot.

If this guy had done the same, he'd still be alive.

Now, having said all of this, what Dame said was strait-up. And I support him completely. It's sad that many choose to see his words as "victim blaming", but what he said was absolutely true. And I support him completely.

At some point, the Black Community needs to start looking at themselves. We're not living in Jim Crow anymore, and not everything is about race. If this was ME, and I fought with police, I'd be killed too. And I'm not nearly as big as this guy was.

They would be smart to listen to Dame and heed his words.
