Well, I wonder how social workers will respond to violence at the high schools, criminal activity on Max and Gang Violence. I hope the defunding produces a positive result in social justice and addressing serious crime.
They have defunded HS security, Transit police, and Gang units. I get it just send in a regular cop if needed, Im just not sure how that improves anything other than moving the dollars to areas demanded. Why would social workers respond to violent crime?
No one is asking for that. (At least no one with a brain.)
Police are now being trained to do mental health evaluations. That's where trained professionals/social workers would be better.
PPD has asked for and received increased funding for dealing with the homeless. What are they doing with it? Homelessness looks just as shitty. Are there social programs where the money would be better spent?
I said responding to violence, not a violent crime, but I get it.Why would social workers respond to violent crime?

It's being measured by that so if it fails then they'll have to rethink the whole thing.Well, I wonder how social workers will respond to violence at the high schools, criminal activity on Max and Gang Violence. I took it that he means that more social intervention would possibly result in less violence. Why would social workers respond to violent crime?
