Watching Debbie Wasserman-Schultz defend taking "Jerusalem" out of the Democratic platform and then rushing to put it back in is hysterical. I actually feel sorry for the chairpeople of the parties; they have to be really comfortable with bullshit.

That entire thing stems from a 7/27/12 question at a press briefing where Jay Carney refused to answer the question. Seems like the Dems still don't know how to address the issue.

From a private property perspective, what we did to Native Americans is wrong. The same thing happened in Palestine. I shouldn't have to recognize any nation-state capital.

There is a philosophical difference between Romney and Obama regarding capitalism. Obama wouldn't be attacking Romney's work at Bain if they were the same thing.

Kind of a shallow comparison, IMO. I like Romney as Candlebox. Trying to get out a message, joining in a movement, but still clinging to hair band roots and too much studio production.

Not really, one transfers wealth into a different government program instead. Also they are both shallow and go with the flow, so a pop-star comparison is better.

Obama was a rock star in 2008. Def Lepard or Poison, if you will, larger than life, talked in platitudes (Hope and Change ... so vague, but catchy), and filled an entire NFL stadium during thunderstorm season in Denver. Stadium rock for that time in America.

Obama in 2012 has moved to smaller venues, unable to fill the stadiums anymore, while the realistic candidates (I'll call them grunge to Obama's hair band) Romney/Ryan continue to hammer away on the reality of Obama's policies. Grunge never really played to huge crowds, but it was real, and in small clubs, it spoke deeply to those listening. The hair band ideals of hot chicks, men wearing spandex and make-up, and big hair look goofy these days, at the time they were popular. They seemed really cool to people unable to look in a mirror and see how ridiculous they looked at that time.

It's not really Obama's fault that he sucks so bad. It's just that much of his audience has moved on to reality, and the true devotees look out of step with the current social climate.

^That was uber ghey!

What "Native Americans" did to the previous Native Americans was just as wrong, as was what Native Americans did to other tribes of Native Americans before and after the Europeans arrived.

And what we did was wrong and illegitimate, just like two gangs are illegitimate.

We're not supposed to go down to other people's levels.

Using kids for 18 hours as volunteers, and then shitting on them.

Welcome to Barack's America!!

http://abcnews.go.com/Politics/obam...invited-speech/story?id=17163654#.UEgGeaNnxLc

A pair of teenagers volunteered for 18 hours on the Obama campaign this summer to earn their golden tickets to President Obama’s big speech at the Bank of America stadium Thursday night.

Today Madeline Frank, 16, and her brother Koby, 14, were told they’ve been disinvited and their tickets are no longer valid because the location of Obama’s speech was moved from the 73,000 seat open air Bank of America Stadium to the smaller TimeWarner Cable Arena, which can hold about 21,000. The move was made because of a forecast of rain and thunderstorms.

“I’ve been looking forward to this for a really long time,” Madeline Frank of Charlotte, N.C., said today. “I am just feeling really let down and like bummed. It was kind of my dream to see him speak, so definitely really sad.”

Although she isn’t old enough to vote, Madeline knocked on doors and canvassed her neighborhood for nine hours so she could see the president when he came to her hometown Thursday because she wanted to be part of the excitement in her city. The Obama campaign’s “9-3-1″ plan offered volunteers one ticket to Thursday’s event in exchange for giving nine hours of their time over three days.

Clinton is just awesome!

Why didn't George W speak at the RNC?!?!?!?!

he should build a few extra decks in the arena, so all 70,000 can fit into the 21,000 seat arena. What a dick.

Interesting clip from the Bill Clinton intro. A highlight from Tom Brokaw giving a newscast in 1992 talking about the terrible times for America. In it, he said, "There are 10,000,000 people unemployed". There are 23,000,000 people unemployed today. What does that say for the current Administration?

I think it was intentional by the Clinton team. They're so smart. He's better off if President Obama loses. If President Obama wins a second term, then Joe Biden is the standard bearer. Hillary would then have the role of challenger. If President Obama loses, then Hillary is set to be the nominee.

Because the glory days for the Democrats were the Clinton years. The GOP wants to talk about the present and the future, the Democrats want to talk about the past. I don't blame them.

One could say they don't blame the Republicans for wanting to talk about the future (and forget a certain two term president -- he doesn't exist!)

Damn, Clinton is really good. President Obama has a high hurdle tomorrow.

Where's Mario Cuomo? Where's Hillary?

You seem to be fixated with George W. Bush grabbing the spotlight. Why?

As for his record, I'd take the Bush years over these past four any day of the week.

Really?

Clinton is great. I have never seen anyone speak half-truths so convincingly.

It must be great to be the Santa Claus Party, just giving stuff away. The only question I have is: "How are we going to pay for all this free stuff?"

I wonder how many people are sitting in that arena or watching at home saying, "Man, I wish he were President instead of President Obama."? I know I am.
