The Harris deal is dead, but the DWill deal just goes to show that crazy shit can happen. Gerald Wallace would be near the top of my list of guys to realistically go after.

However, Quick reporting that there is a "psychological struggle" in the front office tempers my expectations. How are we supposed to execute a plan, when we don't have one?

To be honest, I'm content to go into battle with this group as they are. With Roy and Camby coming back, and LaMarcus balling out of his mind, I think the team can give any first round opponant real problems.

Every front office has different views. Or at least they should IMO. Quick embellishes on everything.

The way I look at it, Cho did his best to get Harris and got outmatched by Utah with a better offer. It happens.

I don't know about Wallace. I'm not sure about how his well-earned nickname of "Crash" has impacted him health-wise. I also have questions about how his game would fit with Nate's coaching style.

Miller and Camby still have value next year, perhaps even more than this year if the new CBA puts teams into a cost-cutting mode. I still wouldn't mind seeing Cho make a move using Joel's ending contract, but other than that, I'm content to wait for the offseason and the new CBA.

Does our beat writer understand the difference between a psychological struggle and philosophical struggle? I don't think he does. David Wu is having a psychological struggle. Rich Cho and Paul Allen are reportedly having a philosophical one.

I'm OK with us not getting Harris. But the asking price for Gerald Wallace is reportedly an expiring contract & a draft pick. Seems like a steal to me.

It's not quite that simple. Wallace is making over $10 mil, so the Blazers would have to either add a player to either Joel's or Miller's contract (Babbitt, Williams, Mills). I imagine that there are other teams in the hunt as well.

Keep those expectations low. Maybe after we are bounced by OKC David Stern will award this team with this:

The other teams thing might have some validity. But not pulling a trade because we would have to include Babbit, Williams or Mills is pretty ridiculous.

I don't see how adding Babbitt, Williams or Mills complicates things so much.

I don't think you realize this, but Rich Cho IS Paul Allen's Tyler Durden.

Quick is Jack's infected gall bladder. Only bad bile comes out.

(I'll let you guess) is Jack's dribbling penis.

(Another shot) is Jack's quivering vagina.
