Why did Cronin give him a 100 million contract when there were zero teams out there to offer him anything and he was a restricted free agent?

I'm not sure if just saying he's fine as a GM would make somebody a supporter.

I’m not sure what the average GM tenure is. But I’d willing to bet it’s like 5 years. Generally it’s their one shot.

You have to swing for the fences. Not play it super safe.

A lot of these GM’s collecting draft assets 3 or 4 years out are collecting them for the next GM.
