As soon as Ant and grrrrAnt are traded, only then we can truly evaluate Shaedon Sharpe if he is Kobe Bryant or Harrison Barnes
Kobe Bryant took the starting spot from 3x all-star Eddie Jones - but you think he would've been held back by 0x all-star Ant and Grant?

When do we change the title of this thread to "eating crow about eating crow about Scoot".

There's no improvement from his rookie year. He still has an abysmal TS% of 50%. He has one of the highest turnover rates in the league at 20.7%, which is actually worse than his rookie year. For comparison, if he qualified minutes wise, that would rank as 3rd highest in the league.

He's not exactly a good defender. He just sucks right now. All he's good for is helping the team lose.

Maybe once he's given the reins and fails. We have too many vets in Scoot and Sharpes way.

I think I might be fine with just getting rid of Ayton or Ant.

The team was 10x better to watch without Ayton Friday night.

Grant looked great supporting Sharpe against Minnesota twice.

Ideally yeah we get rid of two of those guys - but mostly I just want one of Ant Ayton off the team ASAP!

Are Scoots strengths being used properly. He is, by all accounts, a playmaker. It is frustrating to see him playing off the ball frequently. Too frequently imho. He is pretty good at drawing fouls; as good as anyone except JG probably. He should get to the line more than 5x a game or until opponents change schemes

Yep we're still trying to figure out who's cooking and who's eating.

+3 turnovers a game off the bench is not ideal.

In 26 mins though. Not ideal for sure but just over 2 would be expected. He sits at 2.9 and 2.5 would be just fine. This seems like it would be a bit situational.

Too often I watch Scoot playing and I find myself thinking "This guy doesn't play a lot of basketball, or at least didn't when he was young and should have been learning the game."

Sad but yes I'd trade Scoot for Pritchard right now. Would be shocked if the Celtics would consider it.

They wouldn’t. They’d laugh and hang up.

Scoot at this point is just beyond bad. I don’t even think he’s worth a 2nd round pick

PP is 26 and brought up by, probably, the greatest NBA organization of all time. At 20 PP was probably a mess on an NBA floor.

A better comparison would be other 20 y/o that never played college ball.

I don't think him going to the Celtics is necessarily why he's where he is, but I do think it didn't hurt. Going to college for 4 years and not relying on just being stronger or faster than everyone else had a lot to do with it.

Scoot *really* should have gone to a real college, and honestly, still should be in college. He can't shoot for shit and looks lost on defense.

Funny, as his defense is the strongest part of his game.

I mean offense he's clearly in the bottom 2% of NBA players.

Actually Scoot does have a lot of similarities to Telfair 2nd year statistically. Telfair advanced stats all much better. Scoot is better 2pt scoring, assist, and with free throws. Telfair was a much better 3pt shooter and less turnovers.
