I've wanted a PF like Ed Davis for ages. I think it's because I grew up watching Buck Williams. And hard nosed scrappy guys like Barkley and Malone were the best PFs in the league. Wallace was awesome....yet still soft in many ways. Grant was good for awhile, but that was short lived.

I liked what Hickson brought on the offensive end, but he sucked at defense. Now we have Davis, who I think is a very good defender.

Ed Davis was our only player who didn't have a negative tonight. Now this might be because he played under 16 minutes, but... over the last ten games he's only averaging 17.4 mpg (down from 21 on the season). Why so few? I understand he's not a scorer, but is it because he's paired with Meyers and Meyers is sucking? Is it basically him OR Plumlee and Stotts just loves Plumlee's passing?

I like Davis, but he's been a little disappointing. Of course, I think some of that is because Terry doesn't know how to use him. I expected to see better picks, and a lot more pick/roll. But I think it's becoming increasingly clear that Terry doesn't understand the P/R on either end of the court.

Davis on offense flat killed any chance the Blazers had at the end of the Clippers game. Repeatedly. That might have something to do with it.
