It looks like we finally developed a Turkish culture here in Portland.
He was born and raised in Zurich Switzerland...lived in the states early on in life as well...his father is a Turkish Historian who raised him pretty much outside of Turkey..high school in California...guy played hoops in Turkey and Europe when he was really, really young

Make all the stupid jokes you want but exactly how many other GM's did more than Neil Olshey in the last 2-3 weeks?

Fewer than 30, for sure.

I hope Zach plays the 4 next to him to help cover for him defensively. This is what I'd do:

Lillard (36) / McCollum (12)
McCollum (23) / Hood (25)
Layman (30) / Harkless (18)
Aminu (28) / Collins (18) / Kanter (2)
Nurkic (27) / Kanter (21)

Stagger Dame and CJ again. Harkless and Collins help out Kanter defensively in the frontcourt. I think Hood is better guarding SGs too but Harkless could guard the better SG/SF on the bench unit and Hood could take the weaker of the two.
I'm certain you will see a number of combinations including those. He should find out what works best. But i kind of hope we see a reduced Aminu role. 28 mins is way too much IMHO.

I don't think that's very fair. We have now eliminated two players that played zero minutes a game for two guys that should play at least 25 minutes a game each. That's not worrisome?
Not at all. I call that an awesome upgrade. Complaining about doing something to make a team deeper seems like complaining because you are used to complaining. Which i'm pretty sure is the case.

Has NO only had the job for 2-3 weeks now?

Seems like years...
Sure. That makes a bunch of sense as a comeback. Take that shit somewhere else if you can't even enjoy the good things that happen for this team.

Name em? 14 my ass.
NO just traded to players for a very good player and opened a roster spot which he filled with another very good player. Exactly which GM's did that for basically nothing? Please I'm anxiously waiting your response.

Neil turned two non rotation players and a couple seconds into Rodney Hood and Enes Kanter. Just shut up. That’s a general shut up, not aiming at anyone in particular.
Fuck it then... I'll aim it. You don't have to be politically correct when you are CORRECT!

Hey, you said I could make all the stupid jokes I wanted. I only wanted to make that one. For now.

And I'm not hating, I'm just making jokes. Per your permission.

Sorry. Not trying to be pushy and of course JOKES are great. No stress. Joke away bro.

take it easy man...you invited stupid jokes..."make all the stupid jokes you want"....you weren't sincere?

as to GM's that did more or as much (keep in mind that not every team wants to win-now, many want to shed current and future salary and collect draft picks): Dallas, NY, Washington, Phoenix, Houston, Chicago, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Memphis, Toronto, LAC, Milwaukee, New Orleans, Orlando, Sacramento....you're right, it wasn't 14, it was 15

and yeah, I know people would argue about some of those teams....but hyperbole rules!

You're misunderstanding, and being rude for no reason. I really like both of these players and I'm really excited. This might be the best week of Olshey in Portland. My only criticism is that the roster desperately needs thinning! Mostly because of Stotts and his tendencies. You only have to go back to last game to see Stotts fumble and bumble the minutes; take a gander! Hood and Kanter need 25plus minutes, therefore there will be conflict in the near future. Collins and Meyers should probably sit. Moe should sit. And yet Stotts has proven he is a creature of habit: look at the whack shit he did when Jake started playing well. He benched him! This is both a good problem and a very bad problem...is it not okay to have a dialogue about it? There are shades of gray in the world, my man...

Is Rodney Hood or Kanter appreciably better than the guys they’ll get minutes of instead? Id say maybe a little better. Thats why overall yeah they were good moves. The Blazers still need one more top end talent though, its a star driven league. Not even sure that top end talent was available for what they couldve offered.
Overall Solid job at upgrading the overall roster, but I dont really see it as upgrading what their ceiling is. It does help a lot if injuries happen so there is that!

Whatever. So now you want to say shedding salary and adding future draft picks. Dallas picked up a great player that can't play but i will agree they made a good move. If you think going full rebuild like the Knicks was better then i can't even begin to debate you. New Orleans???? Have you not even been around for the last month?

Olshey hasn’t earned my blind faith, but I give him credit. He made small, incremental moves to make the team better when he couldn’t do much else. The team is better in the short-term. It’s similar to grabbing RoLo when. He did. And moves of that ilk. Small moves that make us better.

I cannot say he didn’t falter in bigger moves that would have made us much better as I don’t know. But he’s clearly made a bunch of small, shrewd moves over the years that have kept us in the playoff picture, even when folks have said we should be amongst the bottom feeders of the NBA.

Clearly, he’s never made that “big” move while in Portland, but he keeps turning nickels into dimes. And keeps us competetive. That ain’t bad.

But I’m still waiting for something bigger, for certain.

There was nothing rude Prop. This is a pattern with you. I have read it for years now. Thus the "Used to complaining" statement.
