9 game win streak.
He played 18, 22, 14, 19, 22, 33, 23, 21, and 27 minutes.
32:45 against OKC where he went 6-10/17 points.
27:26 against GSW where he went 5-11/12 points.
I'd rather have him than not have him.
Come on, Denny. I don't expect this type of tomfoolery from you.
If we didn't have him, we'd have many more options last offseason
and at the deadline. This flexibility could easily translate into a
player that could more than reproduce his production....
We wouldn't need a "great locker room guy" if he didn't suck so
bad last year, and we had more wins.
Don't get me wrong, I like Turner and he has his moments, but....
1) The "I earned my bread" thing is just stupid.
2) He's worse than a replacement player.
3) At the end of the day, it's clear that our team's biggest weakness is SF - his position.
It's not a big problem if Harkless is playing well - he hasn't been. We're (s2ers)
still hopeful Hark will improve, while at the same time scanning the known
universe (draft/FAs/released players...) for a replacement SF. The reason?
Turner is mediocre and NO ONE thinks he's going to improve his shot,
dribbling, or get better.
Finally, here's the thing. Turner could defuse this hate with some common
sense, but he went the other way: "I work hard in the gym, studying film,
and in the locker room. I was an FA at one of the best times to be an
FA. Not everyone is so lucky, I understand that, but I don't apologize
for that, either. Go Blazers!"
