Maybe Hood's agent knows what type of deals he will get and told Neil what the outlook of him returning are? (Not good)
Or maybe Neil just feels like Kanter is needed more and decided to go in that direction for the MLE.
You are right about Meyers, we may need him until Nurk gets back
If by less you mean half as much, then I agree.I know you as well as everyone has been mad at Meyers over the years, but I'd entertain keeping him and bringing him back if he wanted to play for less.
He's a great teammate and I think he's found his niche here.

This is a silly post. We all know he ain't gonna have that high of a usage rate here... Goodness...
Neil already knows what Hoods market is, I’m very sure of it. Look at how quickly guys agree to deals after the clock hits midnight on July 1 (or in this case the afternoon of July 30th) Those deals arent negotiated within an hour lol.
One more thing, do you think this has any bearing on moving CJ?
Yeah I agree that was my point. If Neil doesn't know for sure, Hoods agent has a pretty good idea.
I think acquiring Bazemore was a clear response to that.
I think the point was that since his usage rate here will be significantly less than it was in Atlanta, his production will be as well.No one expects him to have such a high usage rate.
We expect him to hit open threes, play defense, and show and go to the rack.
Why would we expect him to have a higher usage rate than the guy he's replacing?

Yeah and I think the Woj line about Hood was the first clue. And good for Hood. He deserves to get paid. I think we’ll be ok too.
Maybe it's just me, but I wasn't all that impressed with Hood.
Great post by ET! Can’t believe He gave a shoutout to Neil for all the money!!!! Ha!!!
His 10.9 PER agrees with you, but he did step up in the playoffs so that’s probabbly inflated his value and the perception.
I wonder if maybe you need to try a different font or something. Somehow every (completely reasonable) thing you post today is getting (inexplicably) misconstrued by someone (myself included). You don't even disagree so I don't understand what the problem is here.

Yeah they are both meh imo, I think the reaction shows just how tired of ET the Blazer fanbase was.I don’t know what people are smoking. Kent Bazemore had a horrible effective Field goal percentage of 47% last season. That’s the same as Evan Turner.
Maurice Harkless has never been that bad. Harkless shot an effective field goal percent of 53% last season.
This is a sideways trade for Evan Turner.
Don't disagree there. It's just when I look at a player, I look at the whole year. Not just a couple games.
See: Meyers.

I think Simons is a more dynamic scorer than Curry was, so we may not need another bucket getter like Hood as much. But man, we’re putting a lot on Simons shoulders. They must feel real confident in him.
