Don’t get me started on The Wire. I tried so hard to like it. It is almost universally loved and people say it’s an all time great. I rate it a 3/10. I just don’t get it. It’s Law & Order SVU.
 
Maybe I didn’t look hard enough but no one seems to have mentioned Daniel Craig. He’s played some great characters besides Bond.

I like Rachel Weiss his wife a lot...just watched Agora...epic film about the destruction of the library in Constantinople when the Christians sacked it...great film..

I loved her in The Whistleblower. She does some good stuff.

I freaking love PSH. God hes gone way too soon. That dude always made you feel whatever way he wanted you to feel in a movie. One of the very rare ones to do that. Robin Williams comes to mind on that.
 
Yeah Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul do deserve some love.

Aaron Paul's moment to moment acting is some of the best I've ever seen. In Breaking Bad thats what made me fall in love with his character. He was so fucking believable because of his moment to moment acting.

Also, it only went 3 seasons, but on Hulu they had a show called the Path that was phenomenal. If you're into the psychology of cults its a must watch.

And of course, El Camino was superb.

Bryan Cranstons work speaks for itself. One of the legends.

Trust me. I really tried. I think I watched 9 episodes because my friends told me to stick with it. I was so bored and frustrated that I did not understand how anyone liked it. One of the most boring shows I’ve ever watched.

Hardly.

Law & Order wraps up every episode. Bad guy, arrest, trial.

The Wire is based on the year a reporter embedded in the homicide unit of the Baltimore city police. Many of the things you see are based on true events. It's long arcing story showing life in the drug hit inner city. Great great storytelling.

If you have a chance watch Homicide, life on the streets. Also based on the same material the The Wire is.

I probably won’t be convinced to watch another show because it has anything to do with The Wire.

I was just so bored. I literally don’t get why people liked it. It’s me, I’m sure I’m missing something that makes it great. Every episode I was like, ok I’ll try one more it has to get better....

I'm messing with you. Everybody has their own style of show, but The Wire is basically a top 5 show of all time according to those that know. It is simply amazing. So well written and shot.
Another show I loved was The Shield. The actor that plays the bad guy in that one is kick ass!
