Knicks close to obtaining point guard Raymond Felton in sign and trade with Blazers, source tells Y! Sports.

Who would we want back?

Chandler?
Shumpert?

Didn't watch Knicks enough (actually, avoided them as I dislike them) to know.

Gramps...

I don't understand how the Knicks are trying structure their depth chart. Are the Knicks planning on playing Lin at the two or something?

How do they plan on playing Lin the kind of minutes that justify his new contract, give Jason Kidd his share of playing time, and also find time for someone who averages 34.8 mpg on his career in Felton? Not to mention that Iman Shumpert is coming back in January.

Meanwhile, they don't have a backup for J.R. Smith at the two.

Looking at their roster, I'm betting it's Gadzuric.

Something for nothing, I guess.

But I'd rather have nothing in this case.

Knicks are going to let Houston have Lin.

Spears tweeted (then deleted) that the Rockets designed the contract with a 3rd year cost of $8M to them but $15M to NY.

Maybe they feel sorry for the shit-storm that the rockets are going to help facilitate the Lakers getting Howard.

Now that Carmelo replaces Batum I gotta say that Buchanan landed us one hell of a guard in Felton.

Hmm... why? Do we think either of those guys can play? Or did we get pick(s), too?

Ed O.

I don't get it. How is this better than just letting Felton walk? We could actually use Kurt Thomas, too.

After winning over the Asian community with Jeremy Lin, the Knicks now expect to win over fat people with Ray Felton.

Better question, Ed: Who cares!? Ding, dong... fat-boy Felton's gone!!!

Just kidding, I was thinking pretty much the same thing... hopefully there's something else to it, 'cause on the surface it seems rather pointless for us.

Holy shit... Bill Simmons actually made a funny, for once!

In other news: Voodoo Doughnuts might be going out of business.

Hmm dont get this, there must be something else cooking. I do think Flailton was of some value on a s and t, but for two ten year pros the provide very little... IDK

So we get two non guaranteed contracts and a 2nd rounder for Felton and the ability to get rid of Thomas' contract. Great trade.

Rumors now suggest that NY got rights to "two Euros"

Diebler and Kammerichs?

I see Gadzuric as a non guaranteed but I thought Jeffries was a UFA, how does that work?

Wait a second...Ok, New York will love Diebler because they always fall in love with the ugly white guy has 1 skill..

but why would Portland be the one giving up MORE players/rights?

they're trading the only guy who is worth shit (and he's BARELY worth shit as it is)
