There has to be something up Neils sleeve.

Letting Felton walk >>> Jeffries for one year

I get the reasoning, tho. Awesome to send out a guy you don't want as a favor to him and agent and getting assets (cash, picks, euros?) Back

I get it if you can send him out to help him, but not if you get stuck with crap you don't want(jeffries). Made more sense in previous mention, when it was all non guaranteed deals coming back.

Quick Tweeting more moving Parts coming back to Portland than has been announced ("albeit minor parts"). Deal wont be done until tomorrow.

Neil's master plan (B) to put us back in the lotto seems to be full steam ahead.

Unless we somehow got Chandler, this trade doesn't move the needle at all. Can't wait to see full details tomorrow.

Interesting.

Though, their Euro stash is a steaming pile.

Kostas Papanikolaou is the only one with potential.

What about that big white center Vince Carter T-Bagged on that dunk during the Olympics?

this story http://content.usatoday.com/communities/gameon/post/2012/07/raymond-felton-heading-to-the-knicks/1 says the Euros are coming from Ny to Pdx , not the other way around.

The Knicks have rights to Ahmad Nivins, 6-9, 207, 2009 pick #56, from St. Joseph's
Giorgos Printezis, 6-9, 235, 2007 #58, Greece
Kostantinos Papanikolaou, 6-8, 225, 2012 #48, Greece

Here are how the last two did last season on the best team in Greece.

Was there a Vin Baker sighting on that video...man that team must have been really desperate.

Kurt Thomas rejoins Marcus Camby at center. Raymond Felton goes under the wing of Jason Kidd and becomes the best guard in the NBA.

For 3 or 4 seasons, VB was a stud!

+1

Vin Baker was simply a casualty of the late 90's lockout (Shawn Kemp was as well). He was one of the better, up-and-coming players in the league beforehand, without a doubt.

I'm surprised we didn't have more casualties in this more recent lockout, but I guess they had guys like Vin Baker to take note of this time around.

If it's Diebler, we've got a gap on our summer league team...
When listening to the July 13 practice video it was said that Diebler is on the squad but can't play any games because he has to head back to Europe or something.

I'm glad that Diebler is not being thrown in. He ain't anything special, but if you had a team ready to compete he is a deadeye shooter that can fill a role someday.

If its papanikolou coming back to us, hes pretty decent

Interesting that Printeziz draft rights have already been traded 4 times, and although his stats don't seem too impressive (except a .565 shooting percentage), his PER was over 31! I do hope He is going to Minny; we all know Kahn loves those Euros!

Apparently, NY is not a good place for aging NBA PGs with tons of money...

Rich Bucher reported yesterday:

The Timberwolves, league sources say, are prepared to sign Batum to a four-year, $46.4 million offer sheet Sunday after repeatedly trying to trade for him. They have offered as many as three future first-round draft picks and even have dangled small forward Derrick Williams, the No. 2 pick in the 2011 draft.
The Blazers have resisted every overture even though multiple sources say Portland management believes $46.4 million is vastly more than Batum is worth.

So, the Wolves have already offered Williams and picks and been turned down. I fail to see how Jared Jeffries would change anything.

He was upset about the Felton acquisition.

Nah, Felton was in the car with him. Kidd was at the wheel because Felton was too fat to drive.

@jwquick: Possible details of Blazers-Knicks deal could be Knicks sending Kostas Papanikolaou to Blazers and $$ to help pay for Jeffries' $3.1M salary

Baker was a casualty of an alcohol addition. Kemp was a casualty of a cocaine addiction.

I suppose the lockout didn't help. It gave them more free time to drink and snort, but both had those problems prior to the lockout.

Felton is a casualty of a doughnut addiction.

Wow, kid is impressive. If we were to nab him for a player who was going to be nowhere near our roster this year (Felton), that would be a great deal by Olshay. Do due diligence and watch some video of Kostas, great talent.
