I just can't get over that Outlaw three and Rudy not being given the chance to take it. Rudy has shown to have balls in big games from three point land we don't give him a chance.

Travis is a good option for an iso pull up jump shot or runner, but not a three pointer.
 
anyone want to put part of this loss on Oden? Foul machine, grabs only 3 rebounds, Yao goes off. At least Joel grabbed rebounds.

Nope. He's a rookie fucking center trying to guard arguably the best big man in the league. What is he supposed to do?

I'm more concerned with our playmaking at the end of the game. Once again, we saw poor decisions being made at the end when it mattered.

lol yes, apparently Yao is SO AMAZING that he got fouled 9 times by our two centers while only committing one himself in 44 minutes. Unbelievable. Yeah Yao never got in foul trouble in the regular season or anything..................

I really despise teams like Houston. They're not going to win a title this year. They're not even going to come close. Assuming they win this series, they'll be gone fishing in 5 games (6 at most) in round two. They're mostly filled with stars of yesteryear who think they're still good and relevant, but everyone knows they don't stand a chance. I'd put the two other Texas teams in this category along with a few others.

For the second straight game, officiating is the story of the night AND Portland gets called for more fouls than Houston in the DOUBLE DIGITS. Ridiculous. Mother. Fucking. Ridiculous.

God damn this one burns. Just think if we had EVEN officating this series, we'd be up 3-1.
 
Yeah, Oden is a fucking moron alright. How the hell didn't he score 25 points and 15 rebounds in all of his 11 minutes of play?

Those fouls were ticky-tacky at best. Fuck NBA referees. No wonder NFL and MLB get watched so much more.

he needs to learn how to adjust. It was obvious the refs were calling those tick tack fouls. stop doing it!

No. Roy was the man in this game.

The turnovers, at least one, were suspect at best. I thought Artest reached in on the out of bounds.

You constantly gripe about Oden, yet start oden fan club threads and have him as your avartar. What gives?

And he had at least two fouls that were complete bullshit. If Oden gets in foul trouble, he becomes passive. It's no surprise why he played like that. The refs took the agressiveness of our bigs out of the game plan. That's why we had to beat them with our backcourt.
 
The refs completely changed how Greg was allowed to play from games two and three. As a rookie trying to contend with such drastic change from the refs against Yao I thought he did okay considering.

It's okay though some people can continue to ignore Travis just kinda standing around as LaMarcus and Joel were battling inside against three Rockets big men for rebounds in the fourth.

Stop doing what? He wrestled Yao just as hard as Yao wrestled him, and he got the shaft every single time. They were both playing rough for position, so just let them play. Oden literally got called for dancing, I swear.
 
some of you guys are fucking morons..greg couldn't breathe on yao without getting called for a foul, seriously did you watch the game sober? We lsot by 1, this one is on the refs dicking us over in the 1st half. Also, where are the fouls on artest grabbing roy's jersey?

At least Rudy hustled for the ball. Can the game plan be any simpler? When we out-rebound them we win.

He needed to stop his tick-tack fouls. When he went up honest on him, he was ok. The blazers played nice D on Yao actually. They just could not board.
 
Travis was terrific tonight. That last shot was ill-advised; it should have gone to someone else. That being said, without TO keeping us in the game, we aren't close at the end.
 
I wanted to see more of the Roy-Rudy-Travis-LMA-Joel lineup in the fourth.
 
Travis was terrific in the first half. He completely disappeared in the fourth when our two big guys needed help on the boards and then there was that terrible three.
 
I'm disgusted. That game was ours and we gave it right back. Houston is a team of chokers and we make them look like Champions.

I don't care what the numbers say--we're the superior team. But because Nate won't stick up for our players, Houston is allowed to get away with murder and because we let them outwork us, we're likely going to lose this series.
