Politics Florida school shooting: Armed officer 'did not confront killer'

Welcome to our community

Sly would be a great teacher....the key is that teachers really don't need to fill your head with useless info...they just need to teach you how to learn. Then you can do that yourself!

That's what they did back in my day.

Worked like a charm.

Then we got millions of illegal aliens couldn't learn basic English and math.

So we stopped teaching how to learn and now we teach how to pass tests without learning.

Common Core.

Starting the day would be a problem.
Young children like to hug their teachers without permission.
Even when they've been told not to & their parents have been made aware of the situation.

Teachers should never physically touch a student, or vise-versa.

After the clergy, teachers account for the largest group of pedophiles worldwide.

I've never seen anyone hug their teacher, and the other is a lawsuit waiting to happen.

I hope that works, but I have less faith in government.

As a staff we're talking about what we'd do if a mass shooter would come for our school.
The plan is to hold drills after spring break.

Unless your drill includes guns and how to shoot them, you're just teaching them how to lie down and die.

Like the Jews in WWll did.

Hey thanks for your opinion.
But go back and read the last sentence in my post. It's only 16 words and a symbol... It's not a difficult sentence.

I read it, but there's no symbol.

Maybe you edited it.

Was the symbol a pizza? :dunno:

Now it's being reported that 3 other sheriff deputies didn't enter the building.

The first four officers on the scene didn't enter the building to confront the shooter or to check on children who had already been shot.

Very sad.

Kind of wish I was a personal injury attorney in Broward (Coward?) County right now.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

my experience is reality....your blanket insult to teachers across the board was not.....there are a lot of reasons for your poll that are not on a teacher's shoulders....parenting..lack of parenting...urban strife in inner cities....yeah...you found a poll.....maybe the invention of the IPhone and video games had some affect on the attention span of the youth of America? Maybe dad is too busy watching the game or mom is working 3 jobs to pay rent...yeah..it's the teachers fault....and why recognize success? Doesn't prop up your argument that teachers aren't good enough for you?

Typical projection of guilt onto the victims.

You had one job...

So you're dragging out the old racist "Blacks shouldn't have guns" drivel. "Blacks can't shoot straight, blacks hold their guns wrong, blacks aren't smart enough to handle guns safely, blacks commit most of the shootings..."

HEY dviss1!

RACISM ALERT!

Nope, I was thinking about teachers with guns but it's interesting that you went there.

can't handle the broad view eh? typical....look! a squirrel! There are no parental responsibilities! TV should raise your kids! Iphones are better than books! Yeah....I guess video games are guilty and phones are victims....you can parrot and ridicule things you know absolutely nothing about ...warning...you can't carry your guns in Costa Rica though. How will you feel free?

What a disrespectful little piece of shit Tim is.

Of course @riverman liked it.

An ampersand is classified as a symbol if you do a quick google search.
Literally the power for knowledge is at your fingertips. Perhaps instead of trying to amuse yourself, you could stop looking like an idiot if you used google.

That last sentence gave me autism.

Technically, it's a character that was derived from a latin symbol.
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/ampersand

But it's obvious you're just trying to divert attention from the fact you failed to mention your use of a contraction earlier in the sentence.

What else should I expect from someone who hides behind a racist slur? :dunno:

So many comments in this thread and yet no one said the most obvious one.

4 cops didn't enter the school to confront the shooter...

This is why libs shouldn't be cops.

I feel like there should be an El Pres Memorial "beta-cuck" drop in here somewhere. Seems appropriate.

The one dude that seemingly tried to do something about the murderer shooting up a school was the one who didn't get to bring his gun on the Gun-Free campus. And ended up dead with 17 of his student. While others who did didn't run to the sound of the guns.

Why not frickin' lock classroom doors and make them bullet proof...have to punch a code to enter but you could walk out freely...Radio Shacks in the Navy had coded keypads to enter...nobody could just burst into a classroom...make desks bulletproof shields as well

This isn't a horrible idea...though making a door "bulletproof" isn't exactly trivial, it can be done. Making desks bullet resistant would be a bridge too far.

Why not just make children bulletproof?

Problem solved.
