cough cough.....I forgot what I was going to post

While true, more people probably die due to speeding in a month, then marijuana in 30 years. For all you saying it's stupid, or shouldn't be a crime, does that mean I can go 75 in a 55 and shouldn't get a ticket? The speed limit is stupid. Still the law though
Pot smokers for a long time actually went to jail for it....speeding tickets...just pay by mail in most cases. For all you saying it's stupid, or shouldn't be a crime, does that mean I can go 75 in a 55 and shouldn't get a ticket? The speed limit is stupid. Still the law though

But I know I have done time for possession of a plant.
If you smoke enough pot....you'll prefer driving 55 to 75 if you do it while driving
Robert Plant?
Now I didn't get it, but if MM meant, why does a state legislate one way when the federal government can overrule and legislate the opposite... well that's worth another topic of discussion all together.
I believe the point he was trying to make, and to me it seems like a valid point - is that there is a valid way to change the law and until it is done - it is not up to one's interpretation of what law is right or what law is wrong as far as behavior is concerned.
Of course, I might be completely misreading MM (not the first time that happened) - and in this case, I suspect he will correct me as needed.
Wait, you're telling me people don't routinely got 8-10 miles over the posted speed limit at all times without getting pulled over? For all you saying it's stupid, or shouldn't be a crime, does that mean I can go 75 in a 55 and shouldn't get a ticket? The speed limit is stupid. Still the law though

So in that sense, it IS different interpretations of the same speed limit law, especially pertaining to the freeways.I believe the point he was trying to make, and to me it seems like a valid point - is that there is a valid way to change the law and until it is done - it is not up to one's interpretation of what law is right or what law is wrong as far as behavior is concerned.

But, speed limits are different in different states. So in that sense, it IS different interpretations of the same speed limit law, especially pertaining to the freeways.
There are still some places where the speed limit is "A reasonable and safe speed" and a number isn't even defined.

So maybe outlaw thought he had "a reasonable and safe amount" of weed.![]()

Clearly the issue was individual interpretation of the laws in the locale they are in effect...
Okay.. Then I guess I don't get the point.
Does MM ever spit in public? Or Jaywalk?
There are tons of laws everyday that the average person breaks.
I can't think of any I have known who went to jail. I have fired a couple for not getting their work done. Designers just don't do well on that shit. I was never successful getting one to go through rehab either. Of course that never works for anyone unless they want to make a change. That only seem to happen to alcoholics. Too bad, they can get their design work done when sober, they only fail to get the work done when missing work from being hungover. The pot head designer comes to work and doesn't get shit done and never wants to change. Has anyone ever figured out how to deal with this as the boss?Pot smokers for a long time actually went to jail for it....speeding tickets...just pay by mail in most cases.

Well We may not know each other personally, but we know of each other, so now you can consider yourself as someone who knows someone who went to jail for possession of less than 1 gram of marijuana. Nothing else. No alcohol or anything. I was pulled over as a profile, cause I drove a beat up tempo in ritzy Bellevue. The pot was in a a film capsule under my seat that I didn't know about from a party the weekend before. The officer said I had an obstructed license plate and that's why he pulled me over. BS. I had just moved from CO and had new plates put on. I hadn't transferred my license though, so the officer said I couldn't drive the car and said my friend could ( his license was suspended) He lets us go and pulled us over less than a mile later, arrested my friend, searched the car and then arrested me too. We were totally set up.
As a former Tempo owner, I can attest that you should have gone to jail for driving one. As I should have also......it was a crime against humanity.Well We may not know each other personally, but we know of each other, so now you can consider yourself as someone who knows someone who went to jail for possession of less than 1 gram of marijuana.
