When is it no longer "too early" to worry about the Blazers' performance this season?

I was freaking out after that lackadaisical performance against an under-manned Raptors team at home, so I'm definitely hitting the panic button right now.

We are 6-6.
4-4 at home.
1-3 vs. the Eastern Conference.

This is an easy schedule to start the season and we're pissing it away ...

I kinda miss that Kingspeed said we'd be 11-5 pretty easily.

We already have more losses than he predicted.

Dame said we could be 10-2, so there goes our hope Stotts gonna get fired

I dont know, but the mindset of this team has to change.

In my opinion, Dame hitting that big shot to win the game, pointing to his "watch" and saying "Lillard time" was the reason we are where we are at now.

The entire franchise bought into it, they placed the mantel on the guys shoulders and gave him free reign. Our team has been compiled to compliment Dame and CJs play. Dame expects that every game he has to be "the guy" who makes that dramatic shot, even to the determent of the outcome of the game.

I like Stotts, but at this point I do not believe that he can bring the guys into check after letting them run with no leash for so long.

The truth is that something has to change, but is it the coach that needs to go or would it be advantageous to trade Dame.

Dame should be untouchable for his entire career. He is the best player this team has ever had. He's the PG we always bitched we never had. He wants to win. He wants to lead. And he WANTS to do it in PORTLAND. Untouchable. Trade everyone else. But not Dame.

Okay, so if he is untouchable, then we need a coach that can reign him in. Personally, I think he is the point guard that we needed ten years ago, when bigs could play more physically. Now with the three festival that occurs, Every position has three point shooters.

Myself, I see nothing to be upset about.....

Two things......1) In my opinion, 1/4 of the season is the point of the season where you have had enough home/road games to get a true feel for the team...... and B) what MM said is correct! Why would you be freaking out if you put the proper expectations on this squad from the beginning? I hate when people say, "I told you so", but....... When you think this collection of talent will finish 4th or better than Houston and the SPurs like some said, of course you would be freaking out after this start, why wouldn't you. But when you take a sec and look at this team as a hovering around .500 team, this is about what you expected. You see it coming every season with a lot of members on here. Set yourself up for a let down EVERY time! Thinking Swan and Collins were going to be major contributors for example. It is still #TooSoon and I hope to be proven wrong, but I think this first 2 weeks will be our season in a nutshell. #GoBlaze

That's way too much thought from you. Did your wife write that?

He predicted a 40-win season so he’s happy he’s right.

He would love to be wrong as every Blazer fan that thought they wouldn't hit 45-50 wins would. But there are some things too big to ignore and reality overcomes fandom for some. It doesn't guarantee they will be right but given the situation/circumstances/tendencies, it is an educated guess based on experience.

Everyone wants them to win but those of us who thought they’d win 37-40 games aren’t “freaking out” because we didn’t think this was a very good team, but in a very good conference. When people are saying preseason this team is top 3 in West, going to win 50, 55 games, Collins and Swanigan are studs, Mo is going to breakout blah blah it’s equally annoying for us as it is for people I assume to read our “negative” posts.

I am NOT happy. I am a life long Blazers fan and am only happy when we win or at least kick ass out there trying. I look at things with this team different than most I guess.

500 ball club 26 games in....means we're probably a 500 ball club...good news is with this record...we'll probably be shopping before the deadline...trades around the corner anytime now...it's obvious we're not good enough as we stand to get to the next level of playoff success...we're just like most of the league...middle of the pack...the top 4 teams in the league would probably sweep us in a 7 game series if the playoffs start tomorrow..but I do think Dame makes the allstar team this year

We gonna lose to Utah, win lakers and lose to okc. After this I think we should replace Stotts before Christmas
That's a mean thing they would do to his family and him. If I was the head honcho, I would dismiss him 1/2/18

10 games is my traditional prediction date. The team is now 6-4, better than I expected. Finishing at .600 (49.2 wins) is too much for me to believe, so I will now predict 46 to 48 wins.

Bump. We won 49 last season. Few predicted that high. My 10-games-in prediction method was even more accurate than I dared believe. It's scary.

Yesterday we were 7-10, so my prediction is .700 at the end of the 2018-19 season. Once again, my scientific findings scared me, so I delayed posting this .700 prediction until after we played Milwaukee, with its 8-1 (.889) record, 4th-best in the league. Then we beat them, so our record is 8-3 (.727).

While it is tempting to predict .727 for the season, tampering with my super-sharp method would be dangerous and terrifying. I will be conservatively humble and stick with my algorithm's .700 prediction. Please support me with donations until you feel pain. Walking into my laboratory every dawn is an act of courage.
