If they’d have not spent cap space in 2016, following the surprise year they just had, this message board would have been as pissed as it is right now.

The current fan reaction to wasting TPEs is...tepid. Why would it have been different then. Blazer suckers always fall for promises of a Golden Future.

In fact, it’s much more reflective of the defensive efficiency of the unit that a given player plays most with. It’s no surprise Dame’s defensive rating greatly improved this season, we added Jusuf Nurkic who has proved to be an above average defender at the center position. There are much better analytics out there.

If Lonzo doesn’t learn to shoot he won’t amount to anything. I’ve seen him play quite a bit and he’s not a good defender, he’s an ok rebounder he passes a lot because he knows he can’t shoot, he may someday be an adequate starting pg, and with Lebron he’s going to look good, but I don’t see in him what you seem to.
He’s still young and like most young players with a work ethic many issues can be overcome, so we’ll see, but Dame is far and away a better player than Lonzo and will be for at least 3-4 years.
