Re: Ridiculously Expensive Agency

Yeah, I was going to add that it was probably only in the right situations. I read his being open to a backup position in connection to Golden State, but that may just be due to home town.

I think Billups is our best chance at a high quality veteran backup PG strictly because him and Olshey have a great relationship. Even that seems like a long shot...

Re: Ridiculously Expensive Agency

Mike bibby, baron davis, andre miller, kirk hinrich, beno udrih, nate robinson?

Bibby: fine
Baron: no
Miller: wants to start, so no
Hinrich: wants to start
Udrih: maybe
Nate: I guess

Re: Ridiculously Expensive Agency

Olshey is meeting with a "top free-agent" so that cancels out a lot of guys.

Jason Quick is slacking.

Re: Ridiculously Expensive Agency

Top free-agents that aren't PG's:

-Eric Gordon
-Lou Williams
-Brook Lopez
-Roy Hibbert

Re: Ridiculously Expensive Agency

Brook lopez or roy hibbert?

Doesnt sound like he will meet with gordon until later in the week.

I dont view lou will as a top fa

Here is an interesting name.

Michael beasley.

I wouldnt like it, but his age falls in line with our core and he does have talent.

With the team sending a rep to meet with Asik tonight all the signs points towards Gordon IMO.

Haynes just said we offered max to Roy Hibbert tonight

Chris Haynes ‏@ChrisBHaynes

RT @sam_amick Source: #Blazers GM Neil Olshey & prez Larry Miller visited RFA center Roy Hibbert tonight in DC, offered max deal

Wow

@sam_amick: Indiana did not offer a max deal, and Hibbert is now leaning to Blazers unless Pacers match. One other unnamed team offered max.

We have a shot?

We have a shot?

If Indiana doesn't match man i'm gonna be excited. Resign Batum and we have a competitive team next year and will only get better then better Leonard/Lillard get.

Wonder what other team offered him a max too.

Blazers UFA point guard Raymond Felton has heard from a credit card company, two ex-girlfriends and a wrong number on July 1

The Wolves are offering a 4-year deal worth $50/60m

He's as good as gone.

Says 45/50m not even the wolves are stupid enough to give Batum a max.
I'd match up to 46, even at 11.5m a year because of Batums extreme youth teams will always covite him as long as they think he can still improve. Pull a NeNe with him at a contract like that. With these offers though i'm leaning towards the "Swap Gordon/Batum" thing.

#Blazers GM Neil Olshey says team "engaged in negotiations with Roy Hibbert" & will "enter into an offer sheet when moratorium period ends."

3 year 36 million for Nash? Holy shit, Toronto?

That's underpaying, if anything. Nash would increase the value of that franchise by far more than that. It's like an MLS franchise signing Beckham, only with a sport that North Americans actually care about.

dallas mavericks chasing both joel przybilla & hasheem thabeet really makes me question their vision at center. really: http://es.pn/KMihqv

Those are the options they're chasing on July 1st? I wonder if that franchise would've just been better off keeping Chandler...

Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard
Sources confirm Memphis has offered full midlevel to Ray Allen for 2 yrs. Bos willing to pay 2 yrs/$12 mill, tho no offer made yet.

Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard
Miami can pay $3 mill/yr. ATL, Dallas and Los Angeles Clippers also interested in Ray Allen.

Chris Broussard ‏@Chris_Broussard
Allen weighing 3 factors in decision: 1 - chances of competing for title; 2 - role on team; & 3 - money offered
