Nash is a star. Would he be someone that would make our team a contender for years to come?

as part of a larger plan, perhaps. i mean we got to the WCF with an aged scottie pippen and sheed.

I just don't get why Morey did not commit to one of his PG's? now both are gone and he "might" get LIN who IMO is not as good as the two guys who just left HOU. And how many PF's does he have on that roster? lol

Jamal Crawford gets 4 years/$24M from Clippers reportedly. Somewhere new Blazers GM Neil Olshey (former Clips GM) must be laughing.

The Rockets and Raptors are working on something "innovative," source says, with lottery protection on 1st round pick returning to Houston.

i heard it has protections both ways, so it wont be too high OR too low

something like "must fall between 10-20" is my sources guess

rad. RT @TheRocketGuy: The Rockets have reached out to Aaron Brooks' camp . . .meeting this weekend. . .

RT @TheRocketGuy: @w_maxey Brooks didn't want any part of Houston when they traded him . . .but time (and $$$) heals all wounds.

If we're not going to pick up a veteran PG, I'd roll with Brooks. Could be another killer PNR guy.

I wonder if Jamal will freeze out Blake Griffin because his skin is light like Batum's? :devilwink:

Eric Koreen: As for qualifying offers to Bayless and Weems: no word yet. My guess is they are in danger. JUST AN EDUCATED GUESS

that's what happens when you build a team with role players first instead of superstars first as your target! Advanced Stats FTW!

:MARIS61:

Uh, they lost their SuperStar Franchise player to injury/early retirement...... just like the Blazers. Takes a while to recover from that.

Bayless as a shooting guard would be intriguing ... gotta wonder though if he still insists on calling himself a point guard?

I actually liked his game quite a bit, but I never liked his attitude. The guy seemed like a cancer in the locker room.

I guess that's kind of my point. It's how Bayless perceives himself and how that jives with how his teammates and teams see him that strikes me as the problem ... coincidentally the same problem I think is going to afflict Austin Rivers. If Bayless could accept the reality that he'd be a really good sixth-man combo guard who do his El Toro impersonation with some occasional kickouts to guys who are 7th-10th on the depth chart he could be really good, but as a starting 1 or a starting 2 there's just something that doesn't seem to click with he and his teammates.

! RT @espnsteinline: In another unforeseen twist of this wild offseason, sources say Jason Kidd has decided to leave Mavs and join Knicks

Orlando plans to pick up $6M option on final year of J.J. Redick's contract, league sources tell Y! Sports. Magic have until week's end.
