Emiliano Carchia: Rudy Fernandez broke the news and announced that tomorrow he will sign a three-year deal with Real Madrid about 5 minutes ago

Just saw that dude Mirza Teletovic downtown ...... think we'll sign him?

No. He's signing with the Nets.

His visit to Portland was to visit Mrs. HCP.

(He found out about her from this board - he was visiting this site to see if we were talking about him and his potential signing with Portland).

Ryan Wolstat: Raptors loving the Pac 10 these days and California kids. DeRozan, Ross, Fields, Amir's from there, etc

It's pac-12 these days, but whatever . . .

Y! Sources: Brooklyn reaches deal on three year, $5 million sign-and-trade agreement for Reggie Evans with Clippers

Source says Portland nearing a buyout with 26-year-old small forward Shawne Williams. Not done yet, though. He's owed $3.1 mil next season.

Thats actually a good deal for the nets. Good idea to put a top five rebounder next to brook at that cost. Im guessting they are gonna let hump go cause of all the money they have tied up now.

Doesn't change our cap number, but it probably saves Paul a couple of million.

PS. He must suck dog balls?

It could change our cap number, but am not 100% surehow stretch provision works in regards to buyout/waiving players. If we buy him out for 3, can we stretch waive him, or no. I am also curious on how his next contract would factor in. Previously, when bought out, if you were signed elsewhere, the previous team's responsibility was shorted by that amount. Which happened slightly when Steve Francis was bought out here.
So, if we buy him out for 3 million, then stretch him over 3 years, we get a hit of 1 million a year. If he signs elsewhere for the league minimum, does that then reduce our cap hit to 0? I doubt it, am sure I am missing something in there.

If they stretch exception him then it changes the cap number but I don't recall seeing that provision being invoked here (maybe I just missed it?) As for the team's obligation in real dollars being lessened when a bought out player signs with another team that might be the case, but the cap number doesn't change ... Steve Francis' full contract amount counted until the summer we went after Hedo.

Landry Fields signs a 3 yr, 19mil deal with TOR.

WTF. Out of left field.

Fields signing was to prevent a Knicks S&T for Nash. T-dot is going to take this HARD in the ass. Breakdown:

Basically since the MAVS are losing on deron, they'll use the money on Steve Nash for a fareware tour with Dirk. Maybe add Roy in there and its not a bad team to see.

T-dot is now stuck with Landry fucking fields. Now they can't sign Jeremy Lin because the Knicks will match now that they are out of the Nash sweepstakes.

Canada takes two big swinging dicks from Texas and New York. booyah.

And they just drafted Ross. These are like treadmill moves, but they don't have what it takes to move even a bit forward.

haha, that will be awesome if it happens!

likely, they'll throw big money at Dragic, in a desperation act.

I'd love to grab Courtney Lee, but I'm a Lee-homer.

I keep hoping the Knicks get shafted. I despise that organization.

I dont see Lee as an upgrade over Wes and would rather see ewill/barton get the backup minutes

From Broussard
