If we could just bring Jrue and Jerami off the bench as our savvy vets who lead our bench unit then I'd be cool with it. Maybe that will happen but I have a feeling that they could both be starting and that means one or two of Scoot, Shaedon, Deni and Tou will be coming off the bench and I hate that.

What's pathetic is that you can't get our rookie's name right because apparently you think all Chinese names are alike
 
1 year deal for Kennard? I would have done that.
 
I still think Grant is gonna be traded and we will take back a couple players. None of these FA were difference makers imo. At last we didn’t sign Duncan Robinson.
 
Kinda boring that the Blazers are probably not going to sign anyone of significance but I get it makes sense. We don't have rotation minutes for anyone.

Scoot/Jrue
Shaedon/Matisse
Toumani/Kris/Rupert
Deni/Grant
Clingan/Rob

There's a spot for a wing shooter, but I assume they're gonna give Kris and/or Rupert a shot at filling that role. Plus, Grant and Jrue are going to play way more minutes than regular backups.

We can hope that's the depth chart. Hopefully Yang is on there too and who knows maybe if he strings together some games where he stays healthy Rob will get moved for something.
 
Lakers need a wing Defender, we need a shooter. They wanna win now. What about a Thybulle for Knecht trade with filler to make the money work?

Damn is that Cronin only free agent signing above the vet minimum?

I think we signed DJJ the year prior but that was Olshey.

Blazers free agent history is laughably bad.

And I'm sorry but we have had trade exceptions for the past... what... three seasons? We're not using that shit.

Every one of us knows we're not a free agent destination, we repeat it over and over. And then we get to today and shit hits the fan like always.
 
Last season was a head scratcher for sure. Looking forward to seeing what these guys can do. I expect DC to be transformed in terms of conditioning.

We were too close the last 3 seasons, I believe, to the tax to use them without going over. And there was absolutely NO reason to pay the tax the past 3 seasons. I still don't expect it to be used, but there's now plenty of room below the tax to make use of it.

We used the Grant exception. Other than that we've been near the tax so the exceptions were worthless with Jody/Vulcan owners.

Players have to want to come, as well. We've been a bottom feeder for 3 years, with no clear "star". I'd choose Trae and Jalen Johnson and Dyson Daniels and Risacher as well.
