I don't think Markkanen is coming back, and they traded Thad Young for Derozan... Dosunmu is a combo guard, not a SF. Derozan is not better as a #2 than C.J. as he is worse off the ball. CJ is a better scorer and a similar defender and passer (Derozan just got the privilege of running everything in San Antonio).

Here's the problem though: What might be an upgrade for one team isn't necessarily an upgrade for another. DeRozan made no sense for us. A poor defender who couldn't shoot 3s and needs the ball in his hands to be truly effective. We didn't need a guard so Lonzo Ball wasn't worthwhile. So far, I haven't seen one player that has signed that we could've gotten or a player that's been traded who we should've pursued that would've helped this team. In my opinion, Olshey has missed out on nothing yet. In the mean-time, he got Powell back on a great deal, and his minimum signings have been better than I could've hoped for.

I absolutely agree with "We need to make upgrades to put us in contention", I'm just not going to freak out when the off-season isn't done yet and he hasn't missed out anywhere at this point and has done a good job otherwise.

lolololo. I personally think Raptors would’ve won in 2019 without Kawhi trade but we’ll never know. With LeBron out of the playoffs and GS injured, I think Raptors would’ve done it with DeRozen.

Most of this board are homers. CJ and Leonard for Derozan deals were talked about 5+ years ago and 90% of this board thought that would be the dumbest trade ever.
