I can't find anything definitive, but the results from the 2015 draft tiebreaker drawing were posted on nba.com at 5:26pm EST on April 17, 2015.

From that article:

nba.com said:
The drawings were conducted live on NBA TV earlier today in New York City by Rod Thorn, NBA President, Basketball Operations. The tiebreak process was overseen by Denise Pelli, a representative from the accounting firm of Ernst & Young.
.

I just checked the program listings and there is nothing specific mentioned. Other than just re-airing programs from yesterday, the only new show I see listed is "10 Before the Tip 2017 NBA Playoff Preview" at 4:00pm PST. Perhaps that's when they will conduct the draft tiebreaker drawing.

OK, last year's draft tiebreaker was announced on nba.com, at 6:12pm on April 15th.

And again they mention that the drawing was televised live earlier in the day on NBA TV:

So, the last two years, the results were posted at 5:26pm and 6:12pm EST and the drawing was televised live "earlier in the day". It's weird that they haven't mentioned anything about this years' draft tiebreaker anywhere on the nba.com web site or the NBA TV program listings. It's like they want to force us to watch the rest of their Friday afternoon programming just so we won't miss the 5 minutes we actually care about.

Just to clarify (I know BNM knows this), April 15, 2016 was a Friday. That's why some of us are expecting it today.

Yes, so was April 17, 2015. The precedent is to do the draft tiebreakers on the Friday before the playoffs start.

What the fuck is a Blazer's Edge??

Are we sure this is happening today and not tomorrow some time? Or possibly closer to the lottery on May 16?

Traditionally, it happens the Friday before the playoffs start, but if it happened, or is happening, today, the NBA is keeping it a big fucking secret. I've been checking nba.com regularly and watching NBA TV all fucking day and NOTHING, not even a mention that there are any ties that need to be broken.

Maybe the NBA realized fans actually care about it so they'll use it to fill in time on lottery night.

I thought this forum had connections? Somebody needs to contact somebody.

What is the deal with the draft order... how can there be no information on this anywhere???

I think it will be here Monday; they usually do it Friday but it was Good Friday this year so they will wait until Monday.

If my information is correct, we'll have a drawing for picks on Friday.

<Insert Meyers Tank gif>

Our own pick: 16th or 15th pick
Memphis Pick: 20th or 19th pick
Cleveland Pick: 26th, 25th, 24th, or 23rd.

Anyone can feel free to double check these, I got them by looking at the standings.
Hopefully, it does indeed happens Monday. Anyway, if you want to evaluate how well we did, the average is

15.5 + 19.5 +24.5 = 59.5 (lower is better)

Or maybe 59.5.

The coin flip will occur Tuesday April 18th at noon:

I thought it wasn't supposed to be a coin flip anymore? Was that a joke?
There wasn't the last two years. Either they're wrong in that tweet, or it's gone back to coin flip, or this is specific to lotto ties.
