Game Thread GAME# 1: LAKERS @ BLAZERS - OCTOBER 18, 2018 - THURSDAY, 7:30 (PDT), TNT

Notes:

• Game was backwards - starters with negative +/-, reserves +huge: lots of optimism from me.
  
• Lakers went small, Collins played a lot of Center
• great team win, everyone found a way to contribute, but Aminu was 1-10, 0-6 from 3 was tough to watch

Great game overall, Nurk still seems to be an issue though. I hope he has a quick leash this year, Collins played excellent D and ML actually made more good plays than bad. Nothing I hate more than seeing Nurk get fed 3-4 times in a row just to throw up some weak shit and then yell at a ref.

I love that second unit. Unselfish with good spacing. We’ll see how they hold up defensively, but they’re also going up other backups so it’s not that big of a concern, especially if they’re making it rain.

Wow, congratulations guys! You all look pretty stupid now. It's really quite pathetic how some of you act during a game where a player makes one mistake and he should be cut or sucks or whatever.

Collins once again showed a glimpse of his potential. He plays better when he is playing with the starters/closers. That way he can focus on defense and contributing when he can on offense. It's not his game to be the go to guy like in summer league style basketball. Let him develop, his skillset is a perfect match with Dame.

Bravo! Beat the Lakers, Refs, and the LeBron licking media. Bench was amazing. ET now has a place, and these guys can shoot. Dame is so good. Refs robbed him of 6 pts, with two completely bizarre calls, but is what it is. Nurk with some great put backs, and will have monster games in the future. Way to honor Mr. Allen. I knew TNT, or TLN ( Total LeBron Network) would be bad, but it was way worse, and quite frankly, pathetic. Go Blazers!! SHOCK THE WORLD.

This is why I avoid the game threads until halftime/after the game. It’s just a bunch of noooon seeeense.

I thought Nurk played pretty well too. His 3rd foul was bad IMO. If they call that pick a foul then every
screen on the perimeter should be. It was a crucial call since he picked up his 4th shortly after.
