Do you have a Link please? And fuck that loudmouth btw

Literally, Stephen A's ONLY contribution to television is his "WEEEEEEDUH" rants. He gave Jimmy Garoppolo his "Jimmy Pornstar" nick name. Fuck that ass clown.

He had no impact on Defense in the 1st half, Lakers Scored 500 points in that half in The paint, but in the 2nd he was great. Watch the Games then Talk please

The 50 points in the paint in the first half wasn't on any one player alone.
Least of all Collins.
It was on the perimeter defenders allowing straight line drive after straight line drive.
It was clearly talked about in the locker room. And the perimeter defense got better in the second half.
Which allowed Collins to step up and force a tough shot or block it.

Walton decided(mostlikely due to LA going 0-15 in the first half from three) to only play Mcgee 21 minutes.
It was the wrong decision.

Sucks we don't have his Bird Rights IF he can perform on that Level over a Full Season
Do you think he'll shoot 62.5% all season?

He wouldn't have signed for the minimum for more than one year and now we have people bitching that we didn't sign him longer? People were mad enough they signed him at all let alone if it would have been for more money and more years.

he was still +24 for the game. He only played 26 minutes....some of that was in the 1st half
The Blazers went on a huge roll in the 1st half when Zach was in there. They shut the Lakers down for a while.....or was that all Meyers?

Laker fans walked away happy customers. On the home floor of a .598 team, they kept it close to the end. When they work LeBron into the system, they will improve. They're cooling off down there sitting in front of their air conditioners naked, feeling pretty good about their formerly awful team.

I want to preface this by saying I don't think Nurk played great or anything but I feel like people that are being hard on him have both unrealistic expectations and don't understand the game.

The problem isn't that Nurk is slow and can't guard quick and athletic big men like McGee. The issue arises from penetrating teams that also have a quick finishing big man. What is Nurk supposed to do when Rondo is allowed to just stroll right down the lane time and time again. If he helps too much McGee has a dunk. If he doesn't come out far enough, the penetrator has a lay-in. This is a break down of the perimeter defense, not the interior defense. How about going under picks against a poor 3 point shooting team instead of letting them pound the paint all game. Nurk's gotta play better but his teammates also have to stop leaving him on an island against 2 players.

Nurk didn’t play great on D but that’s not the problem i see with him and i understand everything you said. However, I will never understand how a 7 footer standing under the basket or within 2 feet of the basket misses as many shots as he does, he must have about a 4 inch standing vertical, there’s just no other reason to miss that many point blank shots(going back to last year and the first half tonight).

I agree he will be useful against larger lumbering centers that we play and he’ll have nights where he looks like the monster we all thought he was after we traded for him but it’s just very frustrating to see someone that big and that close to the rim not scoring with some authority, even more painful when it appears he’s actually trying to avoid contact in those situations. I’m not a Nurk hater though and I like having him on the team, especially when he flashes those abilities to dominate.

Aminu's top 10, too - only shot he made. Still, his defense seemed pretty good.

I’m convinced Aminus high didn’t wear off until the second half. He was baked out of his mind in the first half, didn’t even know what day it was, so not holding the rest against him.

Nurk isn't a leaper. He does need to go up stronger sometimes but he did shoot 50.5% last year and 50% tonight. I'm fine with that. If it improves, great! Good defense and 50% shooting is more than adequate. The thing Nurk can do to improve his finishing (and this works almost every time he does it) is when he gets into the body of the defender with his left side/shoulder while shooting with his right hand. He's so big that the defender can't really get to the ball in those situations. If he has inside position he could stick his butt out to seal his man better to get cleaner looks. I don't think it's the flipper type shots that are the problem it's that the rest of his body isn't in the right position sometimes when he attempts those shots.

When I read most of your posts I'm left thinking:

He doesn't have a clue...

Nurk looked terrible on defense tonight.

Edit: Rephrase. Nurk was hit and miss on D tonight.
