• Monday marks the first of four regular season games between the Trail Blazers and GRIZZLIES in 2015-16.

• The Trail Blazers won all four of their games against the GRIZZLIES last season and have now swept MEMPHIS in each of the past two seasons (8-0).

• The last time that Portland swept MEMPHIS in back-to-back seasons was 1995-96 to 1996-97.

• Portland has now won four consecutive road games against the GRIZZLIES after dropping its previous nine contests in MEMPHIS from 2008-09 to 2012-13.

• This eight-game winning streak represents Portland’s longest against MEMPHIS since it won a franchise-high 10 straight games from 1995-96 to 1996-9.

• Mason Plumlee is averaging 14.3 points on 65.4% shooting in his past three games against MEMPHIS. He recorded a double-double against the GRIZZLIES" on Dec. 23, 2014 with 19 points (9-14 FG) and 13 rebounds.

Quick said it was a full shoulder dislocation for Meyers. So he doesn't think Meyers will play in Memphis.

Quick guesses that Stotts will move Aminu to PF and slide Harkless into the starting 3 spot.........which probably means Davis will start and Aminu will stay at SF.

You have two pictures of JaMychal Green and no Carter.

It'll be interesting to see what the rotation is like without Leonard. More small ball? Does Alexander get some minutes or do Davis, Plumlee and Vonleh just play more?

Ooh, I wanna see Alexander on the court and see some of his athleticism.

I wish I could afford to go to this game. I love Memphis.

Let's start this game thread to get that bad taste out of our mouths from last game.
I like you putting these up a little earlier. It gives me a place to put a pre-game when i have time to write and look up facts/stats. I am a slow writer and i miss things when i try to go to fast. Of course putting something on this site that is wrong quickly get pointed out.....

THATS WHAT SHE SAID THATS WHAT SHE SAID THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

Carter had plastic surgery

It just hope Chalmers doesn't go Udrih on us

Am I the only one who's very nervous about starting both Plumlee and Davis together? Neither is a threat to score outside the paint, which worries me especially considering we play our best basketball against Memphis when we spread the floor. I just don't think Aminu vs. Z-Bo in the post is a great matchup for us, so going small is out. With this being a developmental year, I'd go Vonleh at the 4 since he's shown the ability to known down mid-range shots.

I'm nervous starting ANYBODY but Dame!

I'll be very shocked if we start Davis and Plumlee together. Stotts tried it in the second half at Utah and quickly abandoned it.

We start either Kaman, Harkless or Hendo.

I would give Von a shot with Alexander backing him up who knows this might be our future pf.

So now comes the first extended road trip. It really isn't a great sign losing three straight going into it. Woulda-shoulda-coulda has this team at 6-3 but reality is a harsh thing sometimes. Looking at the other side of it they could be 2-7. The fact is there is starting to be a little video available on the new Blazers. Teams are starting to see the tendencies and they have started to adjust. Watching the Spurs game was pretty telling. At no time did the Spurs ever seem to be out of control of that game. Portland made a couple runs and played hard the whole game but there was no question which team was winning that game. Portland lacks a player that can be that solid presence. Like him or hate him LaMarcus Aldridge was the best player on the court and Portland could not stop him. Next up the Grizzlies.

I would expect a better performance by the Griz tonight. They also have been struggling and need to get a win. Leonard is out and he is the type of player that gives them fits. The "Grind" style does not do as well in the early regular season when teams are playing with this much energy. For some reason the entire Memphis lineup seems to have taken a step back. None of them are getting the number they used to Zach and Conley are both down for the season. Just not sure this is a Playoff team anymore? I am also not real impressed with Dave Joerger. The Memphis Grizzlies made a number of changes over the last two years that i don't really understand. Coach is one of them. The thing they don't seem to change is their offense and that seems to be the problem.

You have to play the games one at a time but this seems to be the game to get a win if you are going to on this trip. Very possible this team comes back from this trip on a 7 game losing skid with the Clippers waiting for them. Blazers need to keep playing hard and growing as a team. There will be a time when things start to get better. It just might not be this month. A lot of the turnovers and sloppy play can be cleaned up. They are still making passes to guys that are cutting in the opposite direction and throwing the ball into the stands. That is a sure fire indication they just don't have the "Tight" feel.

Lets hope Meyers get better quick and who can pick up the slack. Henderson was a bright spot last game and i would like to see what everyone was raving about as far as Alexander is concerned?

This is the kind of year i continue to expect very little but seem to keep thinking they could pull one off? Maybe it's because the season is still young. Maybe it's because it's true?

Go Blazers!

Kjironman is a fan!!!

Meyers will not play and Damian is Probable but he is nursing a bad thumb on his shooting hand. All of us have ripped a thumb nail off at some point. You can work and play with it but every time you hit it it SCREAMS at you. "Hey you IDIOT. Don't you know you ripped your thumb nail off and just for that i am going to hurt for another 3 minutes just because you seem to FUCKING Forget it!"talking thumb.jpg
I do not expect Lillard to have a great shooting night for at least a week. He will have to find other ways to help this team.

Thought this was funny. Oregonian has Harkless starting at the 4

Lots of mediocre teams in West this year. A win, with help from other teams, could potentially move us up to the 5th seed tonight.
