During an out of bounds play in the early 4th the arena Mic picked up a Blazer shouting, "Don't run that play again. We don't know it". Couldn't tell who said it, but that is a bit telling.

Anyone else pick that up?

Holy fuck.

Stotts needs to go. If that's not enough, then I don't know what is.

I know a lot of people asked at the time but doesn't anyone know why we fouled near the end of the game? I hope a reporter asks.

Ick. I don't want to post him up. He's got no game. His game is cutting to the basket and dunking.

He's flashed on post ups. It's all we got right now. Give him every opportunity to fail. If it doesn't work go to Layman and try to find an Olshey special on the trade front.

It's unfortunate that Dame AND Nurk struggled tonight. If even one of them played decent we would have been fine. Credit the Grizzlies defense I guess

Stop the pick and roll. Nurk loses cool. CJ and Dame fight through a sea of hands. Turnover.

Isn't that hard to figure out.

Meaning, sorry, did you really hear that and how can we hear this is what I meant
I was watching the Blazers feed. I don't have a way to find it and share, but it was early in the 4th after a bad possession. Fortunately, the ball went off of a Memphis player out of bounds. Before inbounding the ball, someone yelled that. It was really clear.

If that's the one I'm thinking of, then Calabro (whatever the fuck his name is...) said "and Stotts is LIVID!" So I imagine Stotts was pretty pissed about it. Which means the players have no idea what's going on. Which means Stotts isn't leading them.

I think Napier needs to be in the rotation because he can score in that 2nd unit and we need that. I question Stotts sub pattern at the end of the game. Especially the last 1 minute of the game. The way this team play on close games really confused and that how Stotts coaches the same way in that time frame erractic.

He occasionally manages to slop in a basket when he gets mismatched on a PG. It's not reliable. He's just as likely to turn it over.

He needs to be in because he can run the point better than CJ or Turner. Those two are not good for the offense when they are running the show.

I feel like Pat has lost the edge he had in the first few games. He looks hesitant and less confident.
You mean like, when a player finally gets some tape on them and the other team scouts them and the coaches say, "OK, all you have to do against Player X is Y." Not like Pat is some killer that teams gameplan around, but once a team knows your tendencies they account for it (or at least try) after that it's up the player to adjust to the adjustment.

The point im making is to get him engaged in the game early. Run back door cuts to him I don't care. We have to get more out of him. He isn't THIS bad.

We're only 2 games back of the number 1 seed. Time to bounce back and win the next one. Lots of basketball left to play.
It’s not about the mathematical odds or standings... it’s that we keep losing games we should win. Every season I think this will be the year Blazers turn the corner and then the same shit happens again...

The problem with that is, if they don't run the PnR, it's just Dame/CJ going 1-on-1/2 or jacking up '3's.
The pick and roll can work well, they just need to perfect it. Look at the OKC game. The Dame/Nurk pick and roll completely controlled that entire game.

I think that's a better idea. Nurk on the high post and run some back cuts off the ball. That usually gets him and Vonleh more involved.

Michael Holton on the post game show said we were fouling for possession and that he agreed with the move.

OKC played downright shitty defense though. Memphis doesn't do that. This is always our problem. When we play teams that are willing to get into you and bump and hold and make life miserable, and the refs let them do it, we wilt. We rely too much on players making unsustainable hero plays.

Well. Kind of a one trick pony team then. We aren't creating a ton of assists for other players either.... in fact we are lowest in the league.

I know CJ played great yadda yadda yaddda...BUT SHOOT THE FUCKING BALL!!! What he did at the end was in excusable.

He makes millions...no excuse

This season is quickly going off the rails. These losses are going to haunt us. Makes me sick.

Kind of hard when the top three are surrounded by dog shit.

We don't score in the paint, we are last in fast break points....so many of our shots are tough shots. Some of those go in but it's not a long term recipe for success.

Less then 10 assists for an entire game is ridiculous and Fizdale easily outcoached Stotts. I’m so sick of mediocrity.
