This is the easiest part of our schedule. Look at all the home losses we've already wracked up. And they said they wanted to be feared at home. What a joke. These guys are just an over-paid roster, we might eek out the 8th seed and get our asses creamed in the 1st round.

3-17 in fastbreak points to MEMPHIS - the slowest team in the league! Incredible how bad we are about getting easy buckets.
Maddening how pathetic this team is at running a fast break.

I just want Collins to get minutes. I don't care if he benches 75 pounds. He's going to have struggles. But he's a gamer. He plays with an edge. He can shoot. He can protect the rim. He can run the court. Let's go.

Does he? I've been very unimpressed in the very small sample size of him.

Less then 10 assists for an entire game is ridiculous and Fizdale easily outcoached Stotts. I’m so sick of mediocrity.

It's a philosophy....and why I'm not a big Stotts fan. I've said it before, he is a nice guy but much like nice guy Mark Helfrich, to me he is an assistant and not a head coach. Last in fast break points, rarely get easy baskets, rarely take advantage of the athleticism of Harkles, Aminu, Vonleh etc. Defense is the same thing...a soft, switching philosophy.

He was AWFUL against the Lakers.

Players need minutes to get comfortable and gain confidence. Harkless has had quite a run and has done very little. Why is Stotts so adamant against trying something else?

I was watching the Blazers feed. I don't have a way to find it and share, but it was early in the 4th after a bad possession. Fortunately, the ball went off of a Memphis player out of bounds. Before inbounding the ball, someone yelled that. It was really clear.
Damn

No doubt, may as well start developing him.

CJ has been directly responsible for 3 of our close losses. Turning the ball over in Milwauki, missing the 3 free throws, now this.

We wouldn't have even been in the game without him, I'm just saying, he doesn't do it in the clutch moments.
He's hit game winners against Philly (home) and Dallas (away) ... and are we going to forget about his back-to-back game saving 3's last season against Detroit at home? Just because he missed this one doesn't mean selective memory gets to take over.

Well as much as our offense sucked and we just made some god awful decisions, looking at you Nurk and Dame, our D has come a LONG ways. We aren't the revolving door to the basket like we were last year, a lot of that has to do with DAme and CJ fighting screens instead of going over and Nurk's big body eating up the paint, but we are playing scrappy and trying a LOT harder on D. Thats what I want to continue seeing the most is the improvement on D.

He's stubborn about changing anything. Ever.

Actually, I remember that Detroit game well. After making the two 3’s you mentioned he missed a pull up 14’er at the buzzer that would have won that game too. I’m not down on CJ, but it’s funny you brought that game up. Similar to tonight . . . he makes a bunch of tough ones then misses an easy one (by his standards) at the end. Love that guy but he needs to make the next look he gets like that with the game on the line.

If Phoenix buys out Monroe we should be on it. Too bad other playoff teams will be as well.

We are not fast break team due to 2 reason either Stotts don't want them to run or both of our guards are more suited in the 1/2 court and not on the break. I think little of both.

this.

It is nothing personal and it's not panic. If something does not work, you need to change it. He had his chances here. For me he should be long gonner, cos he makes this team soft. Too soft.

It’s weird tho we have some athletic players too. Lillard Harkless Aminu I mean even Nurk can run the floor pretty well.. we should run a lot more idk what’s the problem

I’m not usually down on Stotts but this might be the season that does him in

This season is going to do us fans in if they keep this up.

Just like CP3, Dame doesn't like to run. He likes to bring the ball up and get a feel of the D before initiating the offense.

I know a lot get caught up blaming the refs, but it really does normally even itself out. For example, nobody here has mentioned that after Dame hit the one free throw and then CJ drilled that huge 3.......as Dame drove to the rack and lost the ball......as he regained control before passing it out the CJ, he straight took 4, FOUR with an F steps without dribbling! I had at least 6 solid definite looks of the walk. I was screaming in the truck that I couldn't believe they didn't call it. I know you could find plays both ways all night long that go uncalled, but that was a HUGE play and it went unnoticed. Tough loss, on to the next one.

Unfortunate loss. Grizzlies are really good though. They're 2-0 vs Houston and 1-0 vs Golden State. They just inexplicably lose to bad teams.

I feel like we really miss Aminu off our bench. And, in this match up , Meyers. Having no bigs that can shoot lets Gasol just camp the paint, and he's way too good defensively to have that.

Good game and hopefully we can start pulling out these close ones vs. good teams.

You ain’t lying in fact I even slightly turned away because I thought the travel will be called lol

I meant to mention it on here, but Memphis announcers caught it right away.

The refs were inconsistent all night for both sides, so it wasn't surprising. Not why we lost, anyway.

CJ is getting his shot blocked a ton this season. He seems to be releasing the ball a step too late. Hopefully he gets that dialed in.

Saw that too. When he drove and got stuck. Looked like steps. In crunch time they seem to let them play though and maybe that was the refs make up for the shitty calls they had. Either way it definitely was steps
