When Melo joins the team, should the Blazers insert him into the starting line-up?

I hated Evan Turner. I hate Bazemore slightly less.

Hes beyond garbage. He should never ever dribble the ball. He should just play defense and shoot only when he’s wide open he’d be so much better

No need to argue something so ridiculous.
That’s what they all say when they have a weak argument.

speak of the devil, Nas gives up an And-1 due to rookie mistake.

Tolliver is better suited for the half court game Houston plays, he has way higher basketball IQ/knowledge, and he could have knocked down some of the many wide open looks Nas had all night.

you can act like the argument is absurd, but Tolliver has still played more minutes than Nas this season, so idk what you’re talking about

Skal is butterfingered...how many times will he roll the ball between his feet and cough it up?

See if Bazemore just shoots when he’s open he’ll be fine guy thinks he has handles and everything Else

I would blame the coach for not go over them situations with the team. But this 101 in basketball how to break a double team plus you learn this in HS. Best way to break advance the ball up the court with the pass. But we dribble up the court and allow them set there defense what they wants to do. Remember in preseason we are push the ball more. I guess left that in preseason.
It's not a full court trap though... You do pass the ball to beat a half court trap or pressure but we never have guys in the right spots to take advantage of that. Should have a guard high cross court and Dame's options should be the open roll man or that guard. That guard needs to be there because it's hard to pass the ball to the big when being trapped and sometimes that passing window isn't there, so you change the angle by skipping it across. Then that guard can get it to the big or the strong-side corner. That's what Houston did and it killed us. That's how you beat a trap.

We never have that setup. Dame doesn't have a good outlet, ever, and Stotts expects him to create 1 vs 2 against it.

It's not Dame's fault.

The number of fucking touch fouls this team takes is utterly ridiculous. And Skal is the worst offender. If you're gonna foul, FOUL.

Every pre-season: "We are going to run more."
Every season: Not

Last in assists so very few easy looks in the offense
Run very little so no easy points on the fast break
Usually don't force many turnovers so no easies in transition

This has been a theme for years. They have a couple of guys who aren't very good on D that are take (and make) many contested, ISO shots. But that doesn't work so well in the Playoffs. Ask the Rockets....and they have the best player maybe ever at that.

Everybody on Houston knew exactly what they were gonna do on that play.

Why doesn’t Westbrook ever get called for crashing over the back when he tries to get an offensive rebound?

The double isn't working Stotts. I like that you tried something but try something else... Shit...

Fucking Bazemore. When he came here I thought he was going to play 3&D. How many possessions does this guy waste every game thinking he's Dame?

Holy hell they're picking apart our trap. If we had Houston's roster, we wouldn't pick it apart like this. Not a roster thing.

Harden is so hard to watch.

That being said, he is as gifted an offensive player as I've ever seen

I'm so tired of Bazemore going into C.J. mode.
