If you use the best advanced stats BPM and RPM last years team was way better.

Heard that Noah did suffer a serious, possibly career ending injury late in the summer.

Anyone have the clip where Moore blows two gimmes under the basket but then scores anyways? That and the play against Brooklyn where Mario gets blocked twice and rimchecks himself in the span of 5 seconds is how I feel about the season so far.

that was a pretty revealing look at the condition of this team....nearing critical

Nas looked really good; Simons didn't shoot well but flashed some talent....that kind of exhausts the positives.

the defense was horrible. Portland led the league in offensive rebounding last season and is down to 20th now; they were 9th in defensive rebounding and are 24th now. And those ranking were before this game when they gave up 16 offensive rebounds....ouch

typical CJ game as he scored 22 points on 22 shots. Simons was 13 for 13. But that was better than Hood and Melo who combined for 18 points on 26 shots. That kind of poor efficiency from the 4 main shooter will lose a lot of games

Quite a few of us said (repeatedly) that we loved his heart and hustle, but that our coach over-relied on him and used him wrong. Of course, that just got me accused of being a Stotts hater.

It’s like other teams are begging for us to beat them and we’re just like “nah, no thanks, we’ll continue to suck”.

the worst part is at some point we’re gonna get everyone healthy and go on a run to end .500 or something. Then go into next season fixing none of the inherent flaws in the team/org. I just want to see what we could do with a Brad Stevens or Nick Nurse or someone. Just a new voice in the locker room.

This team is loaded with talent. Clearly teams are blowing up the Blazers' phone lines to obtain Tolliver, Mario, Whiteside, Baze, and Gasol (all of Olshey's off-season additions). Melo is also clearly a huge asset as well given no team would touch him for a year.

I really don't like Olshey; I really don't like CJ; Bazemore & Whiteside have been disappointing & irritating; Tolliver and Hezonja suck; and I'm not a fan of Stotts. But they could be 5-37 and I'd still tune-in....Blazer fan here

I know you're being sarcastic but Tolliver, Mario, and Gasol aren't eligible to be traded for 4 more weeks still so even if there was interest in them there is no way to trade them until December 15th.

Before you say "yeah right", Olshey traded Stauskas and Baldwin along with a couple 2nd round picks for Hood last season. Something similar can still happen this year.

If his back is fine, yes you play him.

If he's sore at all you sit him out.

The real thing that needs to happen though is that Dame shouldn't be playing more than 35 minutes a game and there should be games (See the Rockets game) where Stotts just doesn't bring him back in.

I wouldn’t be mad if we just shut it down this season. Rest Dame, let Nurk+Collins rehab the whole season, trade CJ, Baze, and Whiteside, fire Stotts, get a stud in the lottery, and build this team correctly.
