:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES
• Sunday marks the second of three regular season matchups between the Trail Blazers and Rockets in 2016-17.

• LAST MEETING: Houston defeated Portland, 126-109, on Nov. 17. James Harden registered a triple-double with 26 points, 12 rebounds and 14 assists, while Trevor Ariza added 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting (4-6 3-PT).

• The Rockets have won six of their previous 10 contests against the Trail Blazers at the Moda Center.

• Damian Lillard scored 18 points against Houston in that Nov. 17 game, snapping a streak of four consecutive games with 20+ points against the Rockets. Lillard has averaged 23.2 points over his past five contests with Houston.

• CJ McCollum matched James Harden for a game-high 26 points on Nov. 17, and has now scored 20+ points in back-to-back games against the Rockets (no games of 20+ pts in fi rst eight career games vs. Houston).

• Including his 12-point performance at Houston on Nov. 17, Evan Turner has now scored at least 10 points in four of his past fi ve games (12.8 ppg). Turner had scored 10+ points four times in his 12 games prior (6.8 ppg).

ALL TIME: Rockets lead, 104-83
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 50-42

Technically the best Blazers player off the bench is Ezeli . Too bad his knees are shot to show it.

We win if Houston misses shots... not feeling confident about this one.

^^^ Big difference between how Pop coaches and what Stotts does.

The game against the Rockets is a chance to show if they have improved at all against a good team. They only have 1 win against an over .500 team this season and that is due to Memphis going on a big winning streak after being 4-5 during the time Portland played them.

I'm guessing Harkless will guard Harden and then Crabbe when he comes in and the Blazers will try to hide Dame/CJ on Beverly and Ariza. Portland may also cross match and have Davis on (Ah) Capela and put the more mobile Plumlee on Anderson. The Blazers are going to need some production from their bench.

We need to double Harden off pick n rolls.

Layman should be in tonight's rotation. Houstons backup power forward is Dekker. Good matchup for Layman.

Tonight will be a tough game...hopefully we play a complete game and get bench production..Go Blazers!

They're more important things to worry about then some dudes hair. There is nothing you can do to change it so accept it and move on with your life.

For some reason I feel like this has been said about something else that has happened recently, wonder what that is?

Alright boys. tonight starts the night where we make me stop regretting i paid $200 for nba league pass. by the way for those of you out of black out area i discorvered that if you order league pass through directv you get nba channel at no extra cost even if you have the cheapest package. however, the cheapest package goes up after first year of contract and they wont let you renew a new deal. so fuck directv.

It's hard for me to imagine us as a 5-4 home team so I think we'll definitely win tonight.

Top assist center in the league. Gasol? Nope. The other Gasol? Nope. Mason Plumlee.

So if we win, are Tunchi and Sinobas nowhere to be found? Will they come and bash the team anyway? Or will they give the team props?

Plumlee switching onto harden shouldn't be happening

I see they're letting Harden waltz to the hoop so far. :/

I still dont get people who want to trade plums. i love his effort every night.

Houston isn't very complex. They run the ball up. Everybody collapses on harden which leads to easy threes. Or harden scores. It's basically those two things. Rinse and repeat
