I was wrong and I don't like the move one bit (even if Ant did play ok).

It's almost as if Stotts thinks (correctly) that a spotup shooter won't work with that second unit because it's all isos. Could Trent play on the first unit and Jones on the second?

Traveling in a congested lane is the oldest superstar treatment in the book. Traveling like Harden does all by himself with the refs staring right at his feet before busting a three... that's something that I've only seen him get to do. Just gets to moon walk until he's out of his defender's reach. I really hope we can get him and that advantage.

Have you seen the bball breakdown on that? Says Hardwn is not (generally) traveling when people generally think he is.

Yeah, the 32 points is why I didn't say he was horrible despite missing 17 shots with 5 turnovers.
9 assists and a steal. He didn't have a great game by his standards, his shot came up short far too often and too many of his passes got broken up by the opposing D but I still like having him on the team.

Tonight he took three distinct steps backwards to get that three off against RoCo. It was preposterous, they replayed it twice and no one can justify it.

...is it really wise/realistic to be so rigid with the rotation number? This has to be total BS, right? :dunno:

I agree with him limiting the numbers of players. I was hoping he would. Too many players equate to no one finding a rhythm.
However both Trent and Hood deserve to play.

I'd move to this:

Starters: Dame/CJ/Cov/Melo/Nurk

Melo off the bench is going unchecked. 9 shots in 20 min, with shit defense and no passing is not it. Play him for 15-20 mpg but mostly with the starters where he doesn't feel obligated to shoot every damn time and is a release valve instead of a focal point.

Either Jones or Roco need to be on the floor at all times. And both need to finish games. I'd but Roco around 30 mpg and Jones around 25-30.

Bench: Ant/ Trent/ Hood/ Jones/Giles.

Giles is better than Kanter. And I think he can be terrific with shooters and Jones flying all over the place. Enes can come in as needed in certain matchups where he won't get picked on by defenses. Squeeze in 20 or so MPG for Trent/Hood.

Dame (34)/ Ant (14)
CJ (32)/ Trent (16)
Cov (24)/ Hood (20)/ Trent (4)
Melo (18)/ Jones (24)/ Roco (6)
Nurk (30)/ Giles (18)

So playing Melo instead of Trent is something we do? LOFL. Harden will walk all over Stotts.

Stotts will be the one driving Harden to the strip clubs after the game. Haha

He will only answer in "yes James" and "no James."

Hood should not be playing over GTJ right now. Not even close.
I agree but I was happy with Hoodie's mobility tonight by the end of the game. I was pissed that not only was Ant playing over Gary but that they're even thought of as in the same stratosphere. Gary should be getting close to starters minutes IMO.

Ok. I was talking about drives and him taking what looks like three steps, especially on a Eurostep move. But the first step he times right as he gathers so it’s not a step and he gets two more.

Yeah, we should probably keep him.

I want Melo to play 15 minutes at the most and I want both Jones and Covington in the starting lineup anything else is crazy in my opinion. Did you see how those two can switch on any two players on the court. They're masterful together on D and both bring different but very necessary skills on O. I appreciate you wanting both to play starters minutes I would just like them to start.
