He didn't have to go for two players like Tolliver and Hezonja. There were other alternatives at the time. I mean, for chrissakes he signed Tolliver on the 3rd of July, only half way thru the moratorium, and then compounded the needless risk by signing an injured Gasol

Look at the players that signed for vet min this offseason. Which player would have provided what Collins does? I see maybe one or two. RHJ is playing well. Christian Wood is playing well, but he barely made a team after training camp. Everyone else on that list signed on a minimum contract is playing bad. That's why they were signed using the minimum. They're not quality players. Mario and Tolliver have sucked for sure, but getting someone that sucked an ounce less wouldn't change our current record, IMO.

Funny thing is (and I've explained this before) is that I'm not a Laker fan. All my family is in SoCal, and I was a huge Kobe fan, other than that, this whole "THE HCP is a Laker fan" thing started a few years ago when I worked for them during the playoffs and a few on here lost there mind.
