ok

but....Nurkic being out till maybe Feb was a definite known. That he might not be anywhere close this season to the level he was last season, was also a known

so then, that left Whiteside and Collins and it was OBVIOUS that an injury to either would hamstring the Blazers and leave them vulnerable to mismatches every game. But Olshey did what he has done before and that's to force Stotts' hand by giving Stotts no alternatives to what Collins brings to the floor. He didn't have to go for two players like Tolliver and Hezonja. There were other alternatives at the time. I mean, for chrissakes he signed Tolliver on the 3rd of July, only half way thru the moratorium, and then compounded the needless risk by signing an injured Gasol

the current situation was very avoidable

Those are valid points. Not much we can do about it now though.

Lakers, the top team in the Western Conference, has an Antetokounmpo.

Milwaukee, the top team in the Eastern Conference, has 2 Antetokounmpo's.

Hey Neil, I think it's time to go find us an Antetokounmpo to put on the roster.

Neil could have had the best one. CJ went #10, Giannis went #15 in the 2013 Draft. Neil not listening to D69....again.

Look at the players that signed for vet min this offseason. Which player would have provided what Collins does? I see maybe one or two. RHJ is playing well. Christian Wood is playing well, but he barely made a team after training camp. Everyone else on that list signed on a minimum contract is playing bad. That's why they were signed using the minimum. They're not quality players. Mario and Tolliver have sucked for sure, but getting someone that sucked an ounce less wouldn't change our current record, IMO.

Funny thing is (and I've explained this before) is that I'm not a Laker fan. All my family is in SoCal, and I was a huge Kobe fan, other than that, this whole "THE HCP is a Laker fan" thing started a few years ago when I worked for them during the playoffs and a few on here lost there mind. There was a dude and I can't remember who, on here that said the reason they hate me so much is that I'm a Laker fan. HA! Cracks me up.
So don't tell anybody that I'm not really a Laker fan...... I thrive on Nerd Hate.
When you made your avatar a purple and piss colored pinwheel, you didn't help your case bro!

I'd love to read the childrens book of the 19-20 Blazers season.

"Kindly exit the area" yelled Carmelo.

"That is my rebound" he shouted with emphasis.

I have no idea who is gonna guard LeBron and Davis, man that could be ugly. They also have McGee who turns into prime Shaq when he plays us, and they have an improved Howard

We look like little kids playing against big boys lmao

Good comeback. Nice to see the guys not dropping their heads, and fighting.
