In the pregame on The Jump, they all picked Dame over Luka. And for best X factor, they picked Melo over THJ. They played highlights of Dame’s shot vs CHICAGO over and over. I didn’t see the Luka bias you guys are talking about. Dame has been getting a ton of love nationally. Heck, Trent has been getting mad love. I listen to all the podcasts and read all the articles. We are getting properly hyped.

How many podcasts of the NBA are there?

I don’t think he did. There’s a story about it even Dame confirmed. They gave him a time deadline to sign while Lillard was there and Kanter felt rushed as he said so he went to Boston.

Neil did not let him have time to consider. If you have the documents, I would like to see them. Thanks for your view.

In summary, here is how Olshey fucked up:

Kanter is better than Whiteside or Nurkic. If Olshey had a GM's talent to evaluate players, he would have made Kanter, not Hood, his first priority. Instead, he didn't have the time to negotiate/discuss it that morning with Kanter, and blew $27 million on Whiteside.

I wouldn't say he blew 27 mil on Whiteside? I mean he did trade out some contracts for him. It's not like he signed him to a FA contract for 27 mil

didn't realize we were watching a Mavs' Luka for All Star promo.

thought they had a game on. this is nauseating.
Just curious if there is a broadcast of an NBA game that you DON'T complain about?

He aint getting from refs. Lillard is on gatorade commercials hulu ect . The nba and media slowly recognize him but luka getting way better treatment by refs

We're going to kick these guys' asses. You heard it here first. The whole team is going to keep it going besides Dame, who will come out with a vengeance and get 40 & 10. The Mavs won't stop us.
Not to reply to my own post but... Well we didn't exactly kick their asses but we did get the W. The fun part about this game was that we never got down big. We'd get up big and then they'd go on a run to make it close. Then we pulled it out... or rather Luka didn't make us win it in OT.

Gotta hate Foster though... guy's a fucking asshole. It's like they decided that the Mavs couldn't be called for fouling Dame with the body tonight. Infuriating! Obviously the hand check was a foul but the fact that Foster blatantly hates us should get his ass fired so quickly. The guys on ESPN tonight basically said that he gets to do what he wants because he's some kind of star ref. You know how you know a ref is good... you don't know his fucking name.

Just some refs. Dame gets a ton of free throws, most of them he earns but he also gets some of those free throws from three, off of screens because of his rep. Foster just hates us and there are some other refs that don't give Dame respect but for the most part he gets a fair shake. Not tonight though.

So wait a sec...... the only team in the EAST with a better record than us, we just beat twice!!?? So confused. We're better than Brooklyn, Milwaukee, Miami and Indy? Wonder what their forums are like?

Really fun game.

I'm here to say I was wrong for calling for the firing of Stotts. I couldn't understand at all the faith he had in Simons, and the dude is starting to reveal what he was obviously showing people behind the scenes. I have absolutely no complaints about either guy right now.

Stotts is a fantastic duct tape coach. He's not going to coach a championship-level defense, but he is really good at improvising rotations when Blazer players (inevitably) get injured.

Well...one complaint I guess. Kanter was feasting on barbecue chicken whenever he got the ball near anywhere in the paint. When your center is making 6/7 shots and no turnovers and the other team has absolutely no answer for him, you have to get him the ball more. This was definitely a game where you could throw him the ball and tell him to get to work.

I can see why Stotts is disinclined to do so. Enes for all his pluses on offense is almost at Whiteside's level of passing. The guy just will not kick it out to shooters. But if you are going to try to survive his terrible perimeter defense, you have to make teams pay for not guarding him with a bruiser.

Our forum has been pretty positive for the past 4 games but we all know what happens after the next loss.

Seems logical to me~

I have seen Portland Perimeter defense catch on, then arrive seconds later for missed blocks or steals. On the other side of the spectrum, the interior scoring concept is the right choice to execute and, as you say, should be used when the front court is in rhythm, resulting in scoring and offensive rebounding. When #23,#55 and #11 are in the same mindset, feed them!
