I understand the theory behind it. But we use pick n roll way too much, and it's over-relied on. Shut that down, beat Portland. That flare action into a mid pnr leaves the big behind the play and allows dame to attack down hill 1v1 vs the big.
Collapsed the D and had Aminu wide open in the corner....

Next 5 possessions:I logged our last 5 possessions:
- Nurk handoff to Dame, pick n roll, missed mid-range stepback.
- CJ pick n roll, handoff to Dame, pick n roll, iso, made stepback.
- CJ pushes by himself in transition, draws foul.
- Dame flare, CJ pin down, not there. Dame pops back out, gets ball, missed mid-range.
- ET isolates at the elbow, kicks to CJ, missed 3.
No action towards the rim after 5 possessions outside of CJ going 1 on 2 in transition, lets see how long it takes for Stotts to adjust.
None of it is because of coaching. It's literally all because of our backcourt, and having a very good pick n roll big and pick n roll ball-handlers and we run it to death. We shoot the 4 largest % of shots around the rim in the league with the one of the worst collections of finishers in the NBA.
I don't get it...
It's fucking NBA basketball. Every possession isn't going to be perfect...
