Was it the previous game he made a mistake and Chauncey took him out after he got very little run and he came out looking disgusted. I don't think he even acknowledged Billups going to the bench and I don't recall if he went back in. I wonder if he said something and got benched as a result.
 
call a timeout. That is just stupid coaching. Now it's as good as over.

same guy knocking down back to back to back 3s you call a timeout and address it.....Chauncey has not coached a very good end game more often than not.....not all on him but he's gotta control the game better than he is if they want to grind out wins..8 minutes 51 seconds without making a shot....you address that

I wouldn't disagree with that. Just saying that when our defense goes they give up a lot of points fast.
 
Simons has gotta sit. His defense is allowing all of this to happen
 
We are dying at the point of attack all quarter.
 
Powell might be just as bad as CJ defensively. It’s crazy.

All of our guards are so bad defensively. It’s one thing if it’s just Dame and CJ, but how can you survive 48 minutes of terrible guard defense each game?
 
Look at that possession for Memphis. They had their pick of about three shots better than anything the Blazers fire up.

Good spacing. Good ball movement. Got the ball up the court quickly so they had time on the shot clock. They didn't even have to move well without the ball. Just got the Blazers scrambling and the Blazers stopped and it's an easy 3.
 
Well what can you say about this team. Simons has the same genies as CJ only looking for his shot and don't make anyone better around him.

That’s the league today though; especially when you don’t guard the 3 point line.

A 9 point lead can be a 2 point deficit… well we already know.

Feels good when we are on the other end of it, lol.

You can't. You have to have a couple of guards who at least offer resistance. None of these guys can stay in front of the ball and that breaks down the entire defense.

Too many guards that aren't just small, but they are small and not bulldogs.

Well, I think the difference is it starts for us by allowing penetration.

I'm so glad I didn't pay for online streaming of these games...I watch the TNT streams and the rest listen on the radio ....I have zero investment in this team so far this season....they need an offensive and defensive identity and they seem lost...we seem to be 10 pts behind every other team in the league

He is not now, nor has he ever been a PG and that likely isn't happening anytime soon. He grew up idolizing Dame/CJ and you can see the impression it has left on him.
