Another reason why I think the larger problem lies in Stott's and not Olshey. What good is a weapon if it isnt used properly?

Damn.....This looks bleak. A 22-6 team with a stellar 11-3 road record is going to explode on us.

What's crazy is if the Blazers were 7-7 on the road instead of 5-9, they'd still be on pace for 50 wins. I know that is because of the 10-3 start but that's what is so frustrating about this team. A decent team is in there somewhere.

Unfortunately this is also a reason why people keep their jobs. They're doing just enough for people to not completely give up on them.

Baldwin has yet to play rotation minutes with the ball in his hands. He’s useless off the ball. I don’t read anything into stats accumulated in mop up minutes.

Without drilling into the raptors defense I’d like to see the blazers attack the paint and then kick it out if need be. CJ was causing damage in the paint last game but then did not kick it out effectively when they pressed him him a double team. He needs to trust the rest of the team will knock down the shot when they are open. That does not seem realistic because they are all running a wheel route around the court while the slow offense decides to finally start a play. But when they do why is Nurk running point most of the time at the top of the arc? I mean ok I like the fact that he can pass but if you run your offense thru a center he really needs to be top 2 or 3 in the league. Why not use the speed and quickness if you are going to put that small Lillard, CJ, Harkless lineup out there.

I'm not saying he needs to play every game, but he became the Harden stopper last year and never got the chance to see if he can keep it up this year.

If we don't have players that can play regularly, then we must choose the best weapon for the moment. Against Houston, he was our best weapon based on previous history against Harden.

Instead of starting Harkless or Layman based on matchups, he bases it off of injuries and salary.
