That is not what happened this evening.
I heard that our ball movement was better during the 1st 3 quarters.

The 4th quarter was Curry scoring off pick n roll, and us scoring because we pushed in transition and the defense wasnt set so we had an open pass (Collins) or we kicked and the guy had a driving lane due to the defense being off-balance (Stauskas). The transition aggressiveness was a very a positive change, but other than that, it was nothing out of the ordinary except we hit most of our shots.

By the way, can someone tell Nurk to DUNK the ball. He missed 6 layups that he could have dunked. I love Nurk. He had a nice game, except for all the missed close in shots. Iremember a game last week when he dunked everything close, and it was a thing of beauty. If he dunks those misses tonight, this is a blowout win. But I loved the win. Bravo Blazers.

what's another word for schizophrenic that rhymes with bench?

every once in a while everything goes just about perfect for a team, and this was a good night for it. Blazers almost looked like a contender (almost) instead of a lottery team

***************************************************************************

there was that series of 3 or 4 possessions right toward the end that had me screaming at CJ. Two possessions in a row he decided he was going to go iso. You could just see it coming...no way he was going to pass, none, so he dribbles a bunch, offensive motion stops, and MeJ throws up 2 bricks on highly contested shots...and Toronto scores right after, both times. The next possession, Dame has the ball instead of CJ, there's offensive motion, CJ gets the ball in a spot-up situation and swishes a three. CJ is nowhere near as good as he thinks he is at one-on-one basketball, but he's a great spot-up shooter. I just can't see Stotts being strong enough to reign in CJ's black hole tendencies, and either that's needed or a CJ trade is needed. Sorry for a little bit of a downer after a great win, but it just rankled me
Yup.

A large part of me would love for CJ to embrace being more of gunner type from 3. Similar to the transition Middleton has made under Bud and Beal did 2 years ago before Wall got hurt.

Yeah, we weren’t missing anybody nor were we on the road.

for 2 of the games they were on the road. Portland came from further away than the Raptors did (Oakland is closer than Memphis)

So you're telling me that the Raptors are just Kyle Lowry away from being the Blazers?

Making shots is not the only way you can open up lanes.

Them playing well doesnt mean Stotts coached well. We can have 0 ball movement but we can score 120 off of isolations and basic pick n roll. Is that brand conductive to overall, long-term success? No.

Granted, I only saw the 4th, but we hit a lot of shots while playing the same brand weve been playing over the past few games. The main difference was transition offense.

Now that I read it again, you're comment could have multiple meanings, and be interpreted in multiple ways. Maybe I interpreted it differently than you meant it.
We had nearly 30 assists.

They were missing Siakam down the stretch too.

Sorry, not fooled.

Nice. Now since you missed most of the game, take a break from criticism. Read, don’t post.
Im not talking about stuff I didnt see. Pay attention. Im talking about the 4th quarter, which I did see.

For better or worse, that's most NBA teams late game offense, especially those that feature multiple on ball creators like Portland.

Not saying it's the way it should be, but this is not some problem that is unique to a Stotts coached team.

I don't disagree, but theres other things I dislike.

Dont tell me what to do Eric.

Yes I was. Just thinking you should be listening (reading and learning) about the game instead of talking (posting about it.)
Damn, if only you'd take your own advice once in a while...

I asked for information on the first 3 quarters I didnt watch. Gave my take on the 4th that I did watch. What's the issue?
